Idk, I like when the team runs different melee tbh
GTFO feels best when loadouts are diverse, in my experience
I don't get bat, but I don't knock it either
You can learn to play around the spear and get pretty profficient with it, but hammer is just easier and more reliable because it doesn't depend on heads
I will say, I like spear for invisible stuff

I had some experiences recently and its just urgh...
Hammer's 20 base damage goes hard. You don't need to think and try harder - you jus need to smack it and it dies.
Spear doesn't kill it unless its a headshot and for some fucking reason the hitboxes on shadows are fucking shit

The big problem of spear is that it only works fine against any normal enemies. Vanilla smalls, vanilla giants, scouts... When the quirkier versions of enemies start to show up - you're suddenly mostly out of work.
It still oneshots chargers from the back, thank god at least for that...

I'm a bit confused by how gunshot sounds work between rooms. On R1C2 my group opened a security door that leads into a huge room with chargers and a scout. The scout was at the other end of the room. I killed it with the sniper shooting through the opened security door and not a single charger woke up. I thought I would pull the whole room, is that luck or consistent?
if you shoot while the door is still opening, the door counts as closed
guns have a 50 meter sound range, so if an enemy its on those 50 meters itll hear the shot
however, doors cut 20 meters of that sound immediatly, which means if u shoot through one, it bcomes a 30 meter range
what maybe happened its u shoot so far away and through a door no enemies listened to it

The door was open for a while by that point, we already stalked into the room and decided trying to melee the Scout would be too risky.
The sound range sounds like the solution. I landed that shot from a mile away and we had cleared the chargers around the entrance before

after 2 uplinks, no
they kept coming for a good 2 mins after 1 uplink and made the second one spawn double the enemies
we just assumed no stopping after 1 uplink, and ye second had more mobs
yeah i did the level once and they stopped spawning which made the second uplink way easier but this time they didnt do it so not sure what changed
un-ironically i recommend doing overload instead, after 1 terminal-pair u definitely have downtime

Hello. I am a new player, I literally played one mission with a friend and two bots. Is there a way to make the bots not make me wish to just play by myself?
What're they doing that's irritating you?
one of them was like melee only and kept running in front of bullets and most of them just didn't turn flashlights off or ran up to enemies alerting them
They don't alert enemies, fwiw to you
is this one of those situations where I have to very specifically give a vocal call out on what I want them to do?
perhaps then myself or my friend caused like a 1% alert and they interpretted that as going in guns blazing
They don't start going loud until you personally cause something that breaks stealth.

r7c2 overload i had 2 bots behind me as i just walked away from the charger/bbc hell that woke.. the bots shot and killed 90% while scurrying behind me

Hello everyone! I haven't reached any E-level yet, but looking at the rundowns there are these fog areas around e.g. R8E1 or R7E1 that look very different to anything else, like a huge open cave with nothing built in it. Does that actually mean anything or am I gonna spoil myself knowing what that is?

ok so theres damage and there stagger damage, stagger damage is when u reach a damage threshold or destroy a limb on some enemies they will stagger, stagger multiplier means you will be able to stagger an enemy with less damage

Where Y = stagger multiplier
Bat deals no bonus damage to staggered targets. Nothing does. It does, however, has very high stagger multi making it easy to stunlocks targets.

its an alarm where instead of a round of scans that are 4 individual circles, u get a ton of circles that fill up very fast
so its slower and can be fucky depending on the tile
but it holds the same as a normal alarm

how do i hold down that one area for that long of a period

they are your best friend when it comes to defending areas
it's for if you enable that one setting
separate buttons for resource use or whatever
use the burst sentries
one button for you one for teammates
since they are the best
you can use the terminal to look for ammo and other resources
bring high use packs with you from the beginning
well the reactor is at the end of the facility, all the stuff is where the enemies come from
mines and cfoam are useless, and shotgun/hel auto sentries are inefficient so skip out on those
there are no breaks in between

Hold further up, in the bridge room looking at the hole in the wall, that's the classic hold spot. When wave is almost over have one dedicated person run back to put code in reactor
it means you're closer to resources and can fetch them from further away too
i recommend using in the first waves the 2-3 uses and saving the 4-5 to later waves
the reactor waves cannot spawn from the reactor direction either, they always spawn from the extraction direction

1 guy with Veruta or hel pp gets ready to spawnkill the babies on pmom1, 1 guy rushes to pmom2 to foam tripmine her, guy 3 with scattergun starts blasting pmom1, you should be done before pmom2 gets unfoamed, then you kill pmom2

you can look at biotracker and as long as you don't fully complete a ping, you're fine

you should avoid clicking though because sometimes it can bug out and then when you bring it out it'll insta ping enemies
Unfortunately there been weird cases of people not getting the achievement for whatever weird reasons anyway and ironically i only got it once i stopped bringing the biotracker.
Also ironically x2 the achievement itself has an icon of crossed biotracker.

problem with r1a1 is that you need to also scan all the wave enemie, no? This also means the extract alarm
is 1 bio bot enough
my guess is that its a per person achievement
like someone else on your team biotracking everything doesnt mean you get the achievement, just them, but thats just my guess because most achievements specificy whether its for you, or whether the whole team needs to do something'

There are some weird ass specifics rules at play
The A3 reactor (forgot rundown) being the example.
They don't start spawning from other sides until you open up another security door

I think r5c2 reactor might be an exception because I've seen some fucked up spawns there but in general they need to spawn at least 2 rooms away from the reactor room itself. So if if you guys are holding on d, if they are spawning from elevator side they will spawn outside the bulkhead door

Just did R1A1 while aggroing every enemy and scanning every room, as well as (hopefully) scanned every enemy at the end alarm. Is it a failure if a sleeping enemy is killed without being scanned? Do you need to scan enemies that spawn from the final scan?
every enemy in the level has to be bio scanned
meaning you have to wake up every thing
this includes wave enemies
R1A1 is not ideal for this specific achievement due to the ending sequence
