for the more experienced players out there, would you guys say r7 or r1 is a better introductory rundown in the game?
r7a1 its the easiest mission, but i personally think it introduces too much too fast, the whole rundown has a very VERY steep difficulty curve and it has lore which is funky
tbh most id recommend its doin R6A1, which is kinda the best A1 mission as its is easy and its cool and has lore but not so intrusive
and then just jump all the way back to r1
and play in order

I guess? It will show off way more flavour of the game and get people hooked, but replaying previous 6 rundowns will feel bland in comparison

R7A1 does seem to me like it was designed first and foremost to be beginner-friendly

Rundown's very fun, guns are fine for the most part although i can't really find the use for Short Rifle and SlugShot needs a little extra oomf to it
it's possible that the lobby is completely dead and no-one can rejoin
Shorty is kinda cool, however it has strange sweet spot where it takes 4 bullets to kill(normally its 3?), Slugy is overall not really useful
melees feels like new skins for ol'good sledgehammer, knife and spear xd

Hey, i'm having an issue where it's totally impossible for my friend to join my lobby or i to join his. we both have stable wired internet connections and have verified file integrity through steam. has anyone had a similar issue?
i should rephrase, we've managed to get in a lobby together once after hours of brute forcing the join from rundown menu. otherwise no luck

I'd start with r1->r6 then r7 then r8 but you might find yourself getting a bit bored with how similar everything is until r4. Therefore start in r1, and if you want some variety, jump to r6 which is much more interesting

Definitely don't wake it up, either stealth kill the scouts or sneak for the code

No, i usually have a team of 4
we can wake them up and do a controlled defense with the sentries
Either sneak or at the very least try to stealth kill like 2-3 of the scouts and then wake up the rest. You got ammo for days and if you brought 3 turrets - your squad should be able to handle the wave. That's how i remember my clear going.

Varies from level to level, but usually:
A = Easy
B = Normal
C = Advanced
D = Hard
E = Very Hard
"A" tier is the easiest tier of level in a rundown, and it gets harder the deeper you go

its a reactor level and losing 4-5 whole minutes with the risk of waking up the whole room with us inside doesnt feel logical, i would rather wake them up and defend at the door
That's why you keep 3 outside on look out and damage control. At worst you lose your 4th to whatever is inside but best case they get out and can join for defence
For R4D1, 4th code zone if you can stealth kill a scout or 2
Then shoot another and defend the room side, then swap most attention to the wave side
Because honesrly you should have enough ammo and tool from the 3rd code areas.

At perfect stamina, the speed of the dash is 10 u/s, at max stam, speed of dash is ~6.4. Spring speed is 6
So you literally move faster by bhopping EVERYWHERE
What is perfect vs max
Stam values overall are also fucked
Perfect is 0 bpm
Max stam went from 180 max to 190 max
Is it better for avoiding enemies
So I can't use it to side dash out of tongues
It increases stam so much
Non combat stam also got a buff
Prisoners are now faster
Max non combat changed from 130 -> 115-120
So you move slightly faster now

Has always existed. But OG R6 nerfed/bugged it to basically be unusable unless you dodgejumped with the microsecond timing

Slug being a special would be problematic because we already have a whole bunch of 15+ hard hitting specials. The market is overcrowded.
Having a 20 break point in main however is very interesting. Personally I like the gun, it just needs a couple of QoL buffs.
Shirt Rifle for special however... Is pretty weird indeed. Technically it's in the same market as HAR - versatile, low dps shoehorn... Except semi auto, less damage and insane (by special standards) ammo efficiency.
I guess it exists to commit into a role of like... Small enemy deleter? You won't drop a giant with that, but you can own average strikers pretty well.
Honestly I don't mind it, options like that are nice to have. I just wish HAR could have same amounts of ammo

if they shoot, if they go through em, if they run, they dont alert em
They are also immune to infection as an added bonus.

Evil looking thing in ceiling, in essence, refers to the unidentified malicious thing that dwells in the ceiling. This can be found by using natural muscle contraction of your neck in order to look up at the ceiling

-cant alert enemies
-scout tendrils go through them lol it doesnt do anything
-all melee for them is cosmetic, this means a bot with knife or spear functions the same
-they ignore gun mechanics, example is firing burst weapons like a single shot semi automatic, or an automatic.
-they struggle with c foam gun and mine deployer, best with bio tracker, still fine with sentries.
-when using bio it has 360 radius and doubled range with half cooldown on marking or something
-will use melee in close range even if they should use guns so be wary of that
-they can pick up objectives, but will auto drop during alarms/combat so they cant be told to pick things up during error alarms/extract alarms
-if you enter a room with an objective item (turbine or cell for example) you can tell them to pick it up and they will path to the objective even if you dont know where it is
-their aim is decent enough, have a habit of shooting at longer ranges so dont give them shotguns
-they WILL stand in front of mine lasers so make sure you have them following a friend or you back well away from mined doors
-they revive people even when they shouldnt so avoid having the bot be last one alive

then you go and hunt her down
otherwise the bot will go down trying to melee the 30 ish babies spawning right infront of his nose
to do overload you have to go past checkpoint door. So if you want to do overload and then die on the secondary, you will have to do both again

The main difference that sniper deletes them from any range in one click and BC needs to be at medium range and requires 2 burst in a row

Hence why - for me - shadow levels require a mandatory thermal. Its fucking unplayable without one.

This change was purely for people who play GTFO casually and just want to find a level to play. In other words: vets who already beat everything. More likely to find people to just pop in and have some fun.
If you want a specific clear - devs simply to imply that you come here and do the LFG thing, otherwise go rolls the dice.
There is a vet post somewhere how the LFG system can be improved iirc
it can be improved with a server browser
The only possible advantage i can think of to searching by tier, is if there aren't enough people queueing for the mission you want.
