It fluctuates with when rundowns are released but take a look at the voice chat channels in this server because the lfg system used here is one of the most common ways people find groups to play the game with. People will post looking for groups in #lfg-north-america etc (whichever is relevant to you)
Your answer is how active those are. New content was released a week or two ago so its probably a little busier than normal, and we are due for (hopefully) more frequent content updates in the months to come. Now is a good time to pick up the game as they are re-releasing levels from the start

How do i turn off the red dropshadows on UI?
I'm playing on low resolution and I find it very strenuous to read the numbers on sliders in the settings menu. I haven't found any way of turning it off in-game so I know the solution must be something else.

If you move, move. If you don't move, don't. I hate tapping your keys when getting closer to shit or sneaking. It's a do or don't situation and helps far better not to do it, especially in high density locations.

Hi all, ran into a problem on the R7B1 "Cargo". It is at this location notice unstable framerate, as well as the constant crashes after the death of the squad. Who knows how to fix it?

Effectivness of artifacts count towards boosters
Eg. 100% heat you need 3 artifacts to get one booster

R1 was designed around the assumption that every single player, or at least the vast majority of players, would be beginners at the game.
So the entire thing might as well be a 6 level introduction to GTFO as a game.

Sniper has the highest damage so you can body shot most enemies without having to target the head

On d2 is you hold In the room outside the first blood door when you open either 213 or 212 you will get a glitched wave of many many giants 7-9 charger giants in a single wave
Only takes one player to initiate the glitch and it can happen on the run back if you force a spawn on bridge

how much FPS have you played in the past
and how good is your aim
Played everything from competitive CSGO and r6 to more relaxed halo and it's alright
ok if youre competitive and comfortable with your aim DMR, assault rifle and bullpup will feel like home for you
DMR being 12 shots each high alpha bullpup being a lazer beam and the ar is like a generic ar
if youre into burst firing carbine is also good
as for your secondary slot i recommend something that you feel will support your main the best so imo a close CC or brawling weapon would be my pick
secondary would run the veruta XXII or the choke mod shotgun or combat shotgun
i would stay away from the heavy ar as its kinda frustrating for me
Tried the bull and loved it the DMR feels situational though. For secondary, I usually ran a shotgun but I also tried the drum mag LMG.
DMR is a long weapon
once you get rushed you just swap secondary

Just make sure you are balancing your weapons (not using only primary or only special) and don't overfill and you should be fine
i played less of newer rundowns the most i played was r5 and doing all the secondary objectives and stuff man that shit was hell

Yeah the pressure of resource allocation from R5 isn't comparable to how it is in current levels

i cleared R1 with my buddies the other day and did all the R7 main missions and honestly we kept throwing and throwing and throwing and somehow still passes

If you wake up scouts by accident though, you should have enough ammo to stand your ground....

Unfortunately hammer. Unbeatable jack of all trades, can do anything, minimal maintanance.
Dagger kills smalls quick, but only them.
Bat is like knife, but can stunlock anything and breaks locks in 1 charges hit.
Spear is inferior hammer with only good thing being extra reach (which is irrelevant most of the time).
So yeah. Bad balance leads us to obvious conclusion: it's just hammer. Everything else is basically gimping yourself for shits and giggles.
Spear also has a comically forgiving hitbox, spear is like an easier to use hammer
The hitbox after swinging lasts for like, what, two whole seconds?
Cant run while charging
Less base dmg (cant 1 tap strickers in the front body)
Worse stagger
I'm also pretty sure spear deals higher damage leading to easier giant kills.
Of course if you play perfectly hammer can do everything, while other weapons are more specialized, leading to not being able to do some things.

You can run mine deployer and place mines on many of the side doors that enemies can spawn through too. You could get back to the start without having had to stop once

@lunar rain regarding the carrying bit
as others said dropping the baby and killing the 3(4?) enemys close is the easiest way. If you have a good special for that then you gucci (shotgun/high cal are both good for quick kills)
If you use mines (also viable , especially if you take your time and look for cfoam grenades) then mining possible spawn locations is obviously easy
If you use a sentry, DO NOT place the sentry on the other side of a closed door. Open the door and look for a good sight line for said sentry (i prefer burst but sniper works too)
Then when you carry the baby back to spawn you can close the 3 doors on your path back IF the enemys spawned behind you (or to the side)
Its what i usually force on r7a1 solo speedruns
it means you fight a bit more enemys at the end but its usually quite chill as you have a great sight line and funnel
So leave the door open with the sentry facing out at where the enemies will come ?
The first time I did the level I got really lucky till I forgot the baby thingy and didn’t bring it back with me to the extract so I ran back grabbed it and then got smacked to the next country by two giants coming out of doors
simple way: „yes“, leave the doors open so enemys dont stack up and have the sentry placed where it can shoot them well and for a long time

You want to funnel enemys down a specific path if possible (this is more noticeable on r6b1 or r7b1 to be fair)
This way they dont get bunched up on doors and dont suprise you. You would want to place the sentry in a good sight line and where it will cover all or the most possible spawns
Oh yeah if you arent trying to go super quick then kill all enemys in zone 48. it makes it a lot easier

Matchmaking takes for ever
I’ve kinda wanted to try out using the revolver are there any tips for more experienced players? (I have about 40h of playtime)
-Practice
-The weapon has good damage, and thus good support value if you hit a striker in the body and then you or a teammate finishes it off with a lower damage weapon.
-The reload cancel is really fast, learn how to do it.
-62% is the cutoff at which you can refill w/out any risk of overfilling.
-Hipfire on revo got mega buffed in R7, so don't be afraid to use it from time to time.

-to parrot ray, if you body shot a small striker by accident at long range from missing a headshot (in a wave holdout scenario), target the next sleeper and let other members finish the first one.
-you can jump and reload midair to get a little extra distance while reloading.
-pretty fun to occ shot a giant, then finish the rest of him off in the back.
i like to combo it with DMR in parties as long range support (in holdout scenarios), if you feel like constantly only going for headshots, leaving bigs to heavier gunned party members.
giving DMR any main damage boost turns it basically into a revolver, then you will have extremely high ammo eff against smalls.
performs poorly with any sentry other than sniper sentry.
i mainly use the shotgun and i kinda wanted to use the big iron
its the revolver for when you cant be bothered to hit heads
i like it for when some reason im not using DMR.
its low critical damage makes HCP decent against chargers.

They did, meaning its a straight nerf in a utility sense. Its litteraly only somewhat more ammo efficient at things its rly not the best at (flyers/strikers)
this applies to other weapons as well, but if you want to increase your chances of landing headshots easily, and there arent a group of like 5+ of them coming at you at once, you can let them run towards you and wait for them to start their attack animation and headshot them then because their heads are guaranteed to be stationary

General query about spawns in alarm sections (more specifically R1 C1), do enemies spawn in further along rooms depending on how far your team is standing?
not exactly a gtfo question more abt the discord but in the lfg channel do you have to follow the exact format or can you just say something like "looking to do c-e tier levels or side objectives"
because im getting bored of doing the same stuff over and over again and i hate hosting shit since im still somewhat new
The spawns will try to be 2 rooms away, in the direction farthest from the reactor, i have had a team that was feeling adventurous and we got the spawns to happen in the drop/extraction room
you can post a typical looking post but list out a lot of zones
"R1B2-D1, R7C2-D1"
and for not wanting to host, I leave my Lobby ID blank when i make a post, and then ask the first or second person to join if they can host
and then when they DM their lobby ID, I add it to my post

Matchmaking only finds players for the level, the connection issues are based in the host who could be from anywhere.
As other guy pointed out: mm is effectively rotten, use local LFG channels and preferably for people who are not too far away from you.

primary generally are more preference. So comfort and playstyle based.
Hel revolver and carbine are pretty busted rn tho. Dmr/hel shotgun and pdw are also very good
Sniper/choke mod/high cal/pump shotgun/precision rifle can all headshot scouts

Then again, meleeing is needed later and also VERY fun
don't pick up the artifacts, they'll know
artifacts are how they track you down
tbh even an F tier as the absolute final level would feel weird

They usually count repeat runs. So they just give a % which is runs won / runs started. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

R5D tiers… D1 with extreme was harder (but extreme was also shit boring) D2 was comparable i guess? You could fuck up more but the action itself was harder
R6D tiers, D1 and D2 were chill, D3PE is imo easier but not too badly. D4 sameish. DX was eh

Most of r7e1 isnt „hard“ perma action. But any slip ups can cost you the run. A lot of levels who are seen as harder just have more action heavy tight sequences buf you can be bailed out
