As the Developers arrived recently from their holidays, you should expect a gap between the project and their return.

Currently there have been several bugs found by players whilst their absence.
You should expect these bugs to be analysed, and processed in order to be removed.
At this point, not all may be possible to patch, but what ever is possible, you should expect it to be dealt with from hence forth.
While this continues, and whatever plans the Developers have scheduled will follow its base path, however delays may occur, and or may not. But as we know the facts that they are only a small team, the Developers nonetheless will do their best to present us with the next available content, SOON. Once every domino piece is back in place, the new set of pieces will be added, until we the testers, break the line once more.
So, that being said.
Any news relating to the next release, update, rundown, patch, news, will all be available through our amazing channel as we all know it to be #game-announcements.

I just did a 2 hour run of B1. 1h30m in Steam crashed and kicked one teammate. The rest of us continued and finished the map. However when we finished, we got stuck. We didn't get into the endscreen instead we were able to roam a fake static version of the map. Even open doors and alarms and kill monsters, except nothing would fight back. When we left only the party leader got registered as completing the map.
That's bye to 2 hours of my life that I will never get back.

Something I think would be fun in GTFO and make the terminal a bit more interesting. Is for there to be hidden hacks within the terminal itself. That you could find. Like a certain sequence of commands or a query linked with certain items that could bypass things. Like a secure door. Where you enter this hidden command or sequence correctly and a secure door is unlocked without finding a key. Or maybe it just disabled the alarm for the door that when you get the key. It doesn't alert the enemies. But on the flip side of things. If you mess up the sequence. It alerts the various types of enemies and they charge you for x amount of time.
Like for example. You do a query and for the details of a ammo pack you see there in the name a capitalize DI. Completely different item has a SA in it and lastly a third item with just an RM. You do a massive query putting those item ids in order basically spelling DISARM with the capitalized words. Basically something like that. With the random way items are put in the level would make it very dynamic. You could even have matches where you don't get any hacks or maybe some partial hacks to think you can do something.

Well the downside is if you mess up the hack in anyway you completely get swarmed for x amount of time of wave of enemies. Also you could make it random where in some cases there is only partial hacks. Basically where nothing good can happen. Like you only get partial of a sequence to disarm a door so you can't do it. So you decide do you want to spend a bunch of time looking through the terminal for a possible hack or just press on.

I think you have to look at it that way. You can spend a bunch of time on the terminal to try and find a hack. Like a big puzzle or just say screw it and press on. And I would say a hack has to be perfect. If you mess up anyway means something bad happens. Maybe instead of a wave coming in some cases you could even have some doors switch to require two keys instead of one

I don't think you always guarantee it to be there in the terminal either. I just think it would make the terminal more useful for the commands. To me I just view it as a just a poorly manage item list. Yes it is great to know where the items are to help you in the level. The time it takes you to fully list the where about of the items. You could explore a lot of the map. But I found my friends and I barely used the terminal and just would sneak through the level so that could be why. The only things we would really query were the keys so we had a somewhat of a path to follow. But as for ammo, med and the like. We didn't really care exactly where they were until we got there.

The most useful things my friends and I use the terminal for are A) to identify the zone and zone subsection that the key is in so we can minimize risk by avoiding unnecessary clearing and B) to make sure we've found all the boxes/lockers in the zones we've already explored. Perhaps a rare/deep-floor item could be one that affects the terminal in some way, such as adding Ping location(s) from the terminal to the map.

for one, there's the aspect of maturity - the older you are the more likely you are to understand the significance/importance of what you have to protect. Someone under 18 might not realize that, think "oh it's ok if i share this to my friend" and the friend shares to others, etc. Or they don't fully understand what is all covered under the agreement. Yes there are mature people under 18 that would handle this just fine, and yeah some things might not be that big of a deal if leaked, but playing the percentage aspect, it's often times not seen as a risk for by companies that setup NDA's.
Then you have the aspect of making sure the parent understands what's going on and the agreement becomes with the parent to make sure their child follows the rules, getting signature from them, etc. It's just easier to have someone older and deal with one person.

The biggest reason to add an NDA is so that average people don't expect the super op gun that was added to a alpha, but then later removed to be added to the real game.
I was part of a testing program for a TCG for a few sets and sooooo many cards would be removed or completely nerfed before the set got locked.

I think Quindo is talking about the devs showing something in the bug hunting group that doesn't make it to the final version, such as a test weapon or tool or something. like a "what happens if we do this". If not under NDA users could leak that item and users get disappointed it didn't make it in the final version.
Ethan is partially talking about why would they spend a lot of time on something only to remove it because of a leak. which wouldn't happen (spending time then removing just because leak).
Ezzyrawr is talking about something a bit different.
All of y'all are misinterpreting where this all stemmed from which is that nothing prevents someone from leaking something, even under NDA, but having an NDA helps to drive home the importance of not leaking anything, and being 18+ helps with getting mature adults who will understand that and be responsible, or at least hopefully. That's also why we have the apps so we can help trim out people who we don't think fit the bug hunter role or someone we don't want to take a risk on.
The devs aren't likely going to remove stuff just because someone leaked something, that's just silly and a waste of their time to just scrap it. Life moves on, but if someone leaks something, they won't be a part of the bug hunting program anymore. The goal of bug hunters is to find bugs and provide feedback like balance issues prior to it going to the public so everyone else can have a great experience. It sucks that there is the extraction bug and would have been great if it was caught by bug hunters prior to it going out. Bug hunters have caught issues in rundown 2 with things like enemies not spawning on the map, enemies getting stuck in places, balance that makes it way too easy, physical object clipping issues. All of which means a much better experience for everyone else.
