Personally I think Dark Ages is going in a good direction. Doom Eternal is too difficult for most people and that’s not what Doom has ever been about. It was an experiment but I don’t think it’s what id wanted. Id is changing the formula so it’s more accessible be for far more people. I think it’s a good direction. Simpler movement in favor of a more 3d bullet hell. The enemies are shooting larger projectiles with waves and lines in between them. It’s still is going to require skill but you’re looking for the key hole while shooting at things now instead of having to hyper pay attention to all of the abilities you have to keep bars up.

But I’m a fanboy so I don’t even care what it is.

If they made Doom 3 2.0 electric boogaloo I’d still think it’s awesome.

OK, upload footage of you getting all the unique loot of Shrine of Amana with Company of Champions active without dying, don't use any Bonfire Ascetics, don't access the DLC (pretend it's a first playthrough and you didn't map any sort of route in advance), sure you can use Spell Quartz +2 from King's Passage but it really doesn't matter that much due to how much damage you take unless you threw a ton of levels into HP/Adaptability and it's really only going help you sparingly survive the insane projectile spam between the other enemies such as the aberrations in the water grabbing your feet

Otherwise stop pretending that area isn't actual hot garbage until you know exactly what it is and how to not fall off the cliffs while dodging the relentless spam especially if you aren't a ranged build to begin with
