The short rifle has close to the pistols stats, with less stagger and a slightly better precision multiplier. Seems a bit more stable over range, and higher fire rate. But special weapon slots seem better suited to heavy weapons. Unless specializing in small crowd control. Then maybe the larger clip and fire rate could be valuable. If teammates ran builds to take out hevies.

I kind of feel like the combat shotgun sucks. Head shots, unless right on top of them, don’t pop heads. Takes too many shots just to kill a striker at a bit of range. Strikers don’t usually pile up to make the spread useful. And they are within hitting distance if you use it with max damage.

Yeah, I’m not stupid. It’s not an accident when I do that on purpose. Positioning, target prioritization. It’s not hard to try and hit more than one enemy at a time. I do that in any game with shotguns. It’s kind of the point.

I like pairing it with Techman Arbalist V Machine Gun, and I feel like in those rounds I eat more ammo than other players, but, 85-95 percent of my shots, when I’m doing good, are headshots, and instakills. So nobody is getting rushed by scouts and strikers don’t get much time to shoot.

It’s hard for me to get away from turret. Because if I’m solo, I want it because bots can’t shoot for s. If I’m with others, sometimes their turret placement doesn’t give the turret enough time to target. They place it sideways to enemies running past. So they never get headshots. And miss half theit rounds, or just don’t target at all.
