It feels cheap, like they added the backlight simply because of "look cool sci fi stuff! Our sci fi game will benefit from it!"

Also they had a good visual dynamic going on with the dark face shields/fascias, in r6 trailer it's really apparent. You barely see the chatacters' eyes and when you do, they look very realistic as well looking like it's portraying some emotion (be it fucked up and tired or scared shitless)
