if its not the only thing in the room, the bots will rush in to kill it melee while it sleeps, and even tho its a bit dangerous, if you can charge your hit as the bots stagger em, u can kill it
i personally pick the bat cause every full charge staggers it, and it is a shorter charge up time than hammer or spear, u can try it

yeah technically spear is 'giant killer' but thats full solo no bots, since u get the range and u can stagger it hittin the giants limbs constantly
the bat with bots just makes it so u can hit it again and again and again
just be careful cause giants have a cooldown, the start stagger, and then theres a small period when they cant be staggered again, but it has never affected me with bots, only true solo or with friends
