Despite R2C2 taking me like 3 hours longer than it should of that experience of the constant alarm for the first time was quite something

Ranking all the alarm noises I have heard thus far (beating all of R1 and up to R2D1)
S tier - R2C2 constant alarm
A tier - R1C1 reactor alarm
B tier - alarm door alarm

The proper error to downtime ratio should never exceed like 70% error 30% downtime imo, and even Warden Protocols are subject to this. It wasn't until I played modded when I realized I get really bored doing 15 minutes of constant shooting with basically nothing else to do between (reactor code hunts for example help mitigate this problem)

R7D2 is at least quick w/hunts

I do have an idea for a level that is an iteration of it that would fit that template

but yeah even Warden Protocols can use breaks in waves because otherwise you get queued wave spawncap garbage where if players dont meet the exact intended pace they never experience downtime anymore

its really tough to manage properly on both ends because from the level perspective the waves will just... never come until spawncap is dealt with, and when they do come, they are all pouring in and spawncap is eternal

you have to force people to kill and pace the spawn management to get that to play out well

the first protocol my friend and i did we didn't realize we needed to move to the next area so we survived an extra 5 minutes where we should not have been lol

especially when there's not really a good way to tell during gameplay if you meet the intended pace

res can spawn far, hibernates can be nasty

pacing will have a range

for hibernates, im using awo so for a lot of levels im having set zone/area spawns

What is the best way to progress through levels in the game

Me and my friend have just been trying to beat full rundowns before moving on to the next one but I’m assuming that could later on get us stuck on like a D or E level for quite a while

Does anyone have a better progression strategy personally
