for newbies a level can last 1h to 1:30h all the way to 2 hours or more

90-120 minutes is a fair estimate for the slowness of a newer player, if played well with little downtime every level is able to be cleared in <90min

the easier levels can run around 30-45min by that metric

1. Gradually steps upp to being quite important, some (sleeping) enemies req directional audio to know their rough location, hearing where waves spawn is also nice
2. Not at all. Most people would still want you to join a vc but you don’t need to talk, I (kinda half okay player) have beat majority of the game mute since I don’t enjoy talking if I’m solo lfging
3. Seen players 100% the game in roughly 300 hours (about 37.5 hours on average per rundown), I did it in 800 hours (kinda slow because I got into speedrunning too and repeat clears) which is around 100 hours spent on a rundown. My guess for R1 would be 5-15 hours and gradually increasing as you move through the game (and sometimes decreasing)

a reactor is ultimately 3 parts,
1 Wave Defense
2 gathering resources in between
3 getting the code into the terminal in time
If you already know how R1C1's reactor works, then its just the first two things you need, and they can go hand in hand

the most popular place to defend for many reasons is the bridge tile. the hole in the wall at the south end is a great choke point where you can get angles and focus your sentries, the bridge itself is a perfect funnel if/as you fall back, and its only about a 30 second run to the reactor terminal.

when you start looting after the shooting, you have quite a lot of resources around you to spend as the code person runs out and runs back. and on longer warm up times for the later codes, you have enough time to run forward and loot in previous areas.

when giants spawn having someone with a good weapon for bigs like hel rifle is useful (especially for hybrids) as well as saving tool by only having 2 sentries down for most waves, saving it for later waves or the waves with Hybrids (4, 6, 8).

this is definitely a 3 sentry + 1 bio tracker level, and when you learn all sentries are not created equal.
Burst is the best all-arounder.
Sniper sentry thrives with bio tracking and the long sight lines on this level.
shot gun sentry is in the game
Autosentry is in the game.

if you have a bot, they are a boss with the biotracker so give them that, and if you have three bots god go with you.

Let me introduce to you, the short rifle. On paper and given to an aimbot, this is like the most broken weapon in the game but it feels like horse shot to use because to use it yo its full potential you literally need to be superhuman, able to click 20 times per second. This is where the macro comes in. You create a macro that when you hold a button, it clicks really fast, mimicking full auto. Don't go overboard with the firing speed. I set mine to fire somewhere between 5 and 10 per second, similar to the assault rifle. Then you bind that button to your most accessible mouse button.

Now you have a weapon that is the most generally ammo efficient in the game with the normal semi auto and then when you switch to full auto, it has up to the highest dps in the game, each bullet dealing more than twice of what the assault rifle does, still with a huge ammo capacity.

The only drawbacks are the somewhat hard to control recoil and half stagger, yet remember it still staggers more per bullet than the assault rifle and pretty much always staggers on heashot. Its also not super great for sniping shooters with early fall off. Deletes both strikers and giants though

it's weird that the resource packs effectively have superglue unless directly swapping, but the game was definitely balanced around this design decision. Some modded rundowns change their balancing structure of consumables so it is structured around being able to freely move items
