no probs, you can also parry both melee and range attacks using your melee's shove. You can even redirect projectiles back.

Parry does not stop the Giant's tongue pull, only its damage. You can however disable its tongue by using the Medic Gun and Foam Pistol/Launcher/Shotgun.
