After some extra testing: (most of which ended up with shotgun sentrys underperforming as expected and known)
Shotgun sentrys do actually perform even on average with 3 hel auto sentries (in a good point for both) if they have bio pinged enemies as targets.
They are still somehow less efficient at this than hel auto due to how they work, but they actually can kill if stacked in a choke point with bio ping
so uuuh. If you dont like hel auto and have excess tool and need to kill waves with sentries, 3 plus bio do well?
(singular shotgun sentry with no pings is still a meme)
Sniper sentry unsurprisingly performed the worst in this close range test (in case anyone would be surprised)

hello! if you’re looking for people to play with you can use the LFG channels to find others to run the starting levels of the game — i would highly recommend beginning with R1 since it acts as a sort of tutorial rundown for the rest of the game and introduces mechanics at an achievable rate :3 if you’re not interested in playing with other people you can always run the game with bots too; other than that, experiment with loadouts, try new strategies, ask questions if you have them, and have fun in the complex!
