1 Wave Defense

If you already know how R1C1's reactor works, then its just the first two things you need, and they can go hand in hand
the most popular place to defend for many reasons is the bridge tile. the hole in the wall at the south end is a great choke point where you can get angles and focus your sentries, the bridge itself is a perfect funnel if/as you fall back, and its only about a 30 second run to the reactor terminal.
when you start looting after the shooting, you have quite a lot of resources around you to spend as the code person runs out and runs back. and on longer warm up times for the later codes, you have enough time to run forward and loot in previous areas.
when giants spawn having someone with a good weapon for bigs like hel rifle is useful (especially for hybrids) as well as saving tool by only having 2 sentries down for most waves, saving it for later waves or the waves with Hybrids (4, 6, 8).
this is definitely a 3 sentry + 1 bio tracker level, and when you learn all sentries are not created equal.
Burst is the best all-arounder.
Sniper sentry thrives with bio tracking and the long sight lines on this level.
shot gun sentry is in the game
Autosentry is in the game.
if you have a bot, they are a boss with the biotracker so give them that, and if you have three bots god go with you.

What is the 2 room spawning
VERY BASICALLY enemy spawns are (99% of the time) weighted to occur two rooms away from players
that's assuming that there ARE rooms that exist two rooms away. if there aren't, they'll spawn one room away. and also some alarms/objectives bend those rules. most alarms don't really care what zone they spawn enemies in, but uplinks are limited to spawning in the same zone as the terminal

also rooms in this context cares about any sort of room partition; not all room dividers are doors that you can close. some are archways or literal holes in the wall
depending on RNG and vector math that i don't care to explain certain alarms have a chance of spawning enemies three rooms away, but for the most part, that doesn't really change your plans or strategy

for the most part its just learning from how far can you kill enemies with 1 shot, but also against giants what you should do if possible is try to get backdmg so you spent 2-3 shots instead of 4-5 (2 shots in the back kills a giant, but if your scared of getting licked or punched you can shoot once from upfront for a stagger then get to their back and kill them)

personally i found some things in the game very unintuitive when starting out
i think dragging in this game is very unintuitive vs other games
for example a lot of the time its easier to dodge attacks by running directly at the enemy than away
(when i started i was coming over from 1k hours of vermintide so i was used to mechanics in that game, which are very different)
