Artifact Heat is a mechanic present on the Rundown UI. The number will dictate how valuable each artifact is within a given level.

At 100% heat, each artifact will contribute towards 0.15 Booster progress, or 15%. As heat decreases, so will its progress towards a Booster. Artifact heat will never reach below 20% (at this heat level, artifacts will increase the Booster progress by 0.03).

Artifact heat will decrease by 1% for every artifact collected in the current expedition regardless of type. Artifact heat will increase by 1% for all other expeditions every 3 artifacts collected. Artifacts will only be counted as collected when you complete a level, fail a level, or retire to lobby. Exiting the game or returning to the desktop will not grant you any artifact progression.

The only check with a cone (actually a wedge) is the attack trigger check, and if we're talking about dodging a tongue then I think it's safe to assume that the tongue has, in fact, been triggered.

hit check i meant to mean the check that determines whether an attack connects or misses - and at it would be at that point that infinite corridor comes in to describe the attack hitbox, though my brain also told me if the attack is hitting then infinite corridor doesn't matter, because you'll get hit anyway (basically, hit check succeeds -> you always get hit by the enemy) but I'm not sure if this correct at all or my brain fucking with me

now that i'm recalling it, it's more along the lines of
enemy winds up attack -> attack has set pattern/trajectory where it can connect to you, being whatever shape that is -> if you're in this area then the hit check succeeds -> you get hit

first moral of the story is wake up at a good time instead of having 10 minutes to rush to a test, second moral is goat is a fucking moron

Would I be able to put out maybe a LFG in the channel looking for a permanent team or is there somewhere else to do that better?

well, doing sec after main actually can make your life easier, since enemies will spawn pretty late and you can just run straight to final zone

i tried to actually kill all enemies from sec and died, thats why checkpoint activated xd
