Well it's surprising though, most new peeps I've seen playing the game always blame the game whenever they mess up
Just need that tiny damage on the strikers to 1 shot headshot them and the auto turret staggers them making the shots easy to hit

Bullpup rifle and assault rifle are rather lame for what they are. Double tap is probably too far out.
Short rifle is unrepentant garbage, sniper isn't that good anymore
Also would recommend against the regular machine pistol
Carbine is rather strong and should be easy to use, shotguns should be fairly simple too. High caliber pistol and hel rifle are there as high damage single shot weapons for you to use
(I'm not sure why you'd use it over the HEL machine pistol)
The hel shotgun is really fun when you get to kill an entire wave by yourself, it is less fun when it takes 3 shots to kill 1 striker tho

Fire rate and OHKO range are a bit too low for the taste of majority of people here
The shotgun seems to have a pump action mode of operation, yet doesn't pump - which creates weird feeling that something is wrong with the fire rate.
Either they need to turn on the pumping animation routine or basically turn it into Choke Junior.
And the kill range would be increased a couple of meters - 8 is just too unpleasant. Either by just buffing fall off or increasing base damage to like... 23-24, maybe?

I tried to convince my teammates to melee them, but everyone was too afraid, so we had to go guns blazing and wasted so many supplies against the incoming horde afterwards
How have you gotten that far and your team are still afraid of scouts 🤨
We've gotten far for sure, but my friends are just paranoid with scouts, they always want to shoot them and alert the room rather than attempt to stealth them
One of the main reasons why I almost always have to bring the thermal sniper to one shot scouts for my squad
i think the presumption was that you finished rundown 1-5 while basically always shooting scouts

we are 2 weeks hard stuck @r2d1 any advice for beginners. We almost memorized everything in this level. closest one we did was the final scan @50% and we all got snowballed by 50 zombies. we are good players, mediocre at best.
Check if 611 or 613 has a cell and do the one that does, pick the cell from there, with cell that spawns in gen cluster room, that's 2 cells out of 5 already, you can go for res room whenever since it gives a cell back. After that, do the two blood doors, if you get lucky spawn (Cell in C for the blood door on the left, cell on top left room for the blood door on the right) get that ASAP, you can check on the terminal, both zones have it on room A. Just go to the cell, use some fog reps if you REALLY need and pull the rooms (dont pull big room on the right). Get the key from whichever of the blood door zones have it, do that zone next (do it before everything if cells spawned in shit places for the blood door zones). That's 5 cells. Try not to wake up any scouts.
The more cells in the more the fog lowers, so if you get shit cell spawns on either of the blood door zones, just leave that for last
Both alarmed doors (611 and 613) only have 1 point of entry for enemies, save fog reps for that alarm since you'll only have 1 cell by then
Save some ammo for the last scan but unless you fucked up big time somewhere, you should be fine
611 and 613 always has cell i think what you meant was key for 607?

If a bot is in a ROOM with an obj item (cell/fogturbine/whatever) and a player also is, hold Q, objective, carry the obj item
the bot bio will make the sentry shoot super fast
Considering 610 and 612 bottom floor are a bit full of fog, it can help
Especially with shit like cell in 610 in room D
we usually run out of tool at the end because of too much scouts cry we are not good that is what I can say
its ok this sentry has pretty broken ammo economy imo

If you get really shit situations like 2 scouts on far end of 609 B and way too much enemies in between consider saving the door (if cell is in 610), and sniping one of them, enemies will spawn in 605C meaning that one guy close to sec door that goes to 606 to 609 can just hold 1 wave with a bit of patience while the 3 finish clearing 609B's woken up enemies
611 I think has 5 scouts in total
But few sparse enemies
It's only an issue if you get domino effect on them but as a rule of thumb, if you're REALLY scared of fucking it up, if there's only 1 scout alive in the room, just hs him

R2D1 is done in such a way that you can always skip 1 cell zone
also its really recommended to start learning how to melee scouts (obviously you can snipe some if they would be insane to get to). As future levels will punish you hard if you cant melee them
I usually skip 608 by default for the reasons I listed above but whatever you prefer works
skipping 608 means skipping 1 alarm but you dont get the key for dis zone

I like R2D1, I've like 10 clears on that but I'll admit that it punishes you heavily for mistakes
i have 100 runs in this and still hasnt cleared it once

r2d1 was fun whn we were learning it, but now we get stressed about executing it because we know what todo we just cant do it properly
The GTFO grind
Start with 605, go to 610/612, grab the key then leave to 614 for resources. Afterwards go to 607 then 608 and go back to 610/612 for the last cell
thats some wild order

it is an absolute god with bio
humans have ~8-10 second cooldown and tagging takes a second.. bots.. 5 seconds, 0 seconds

those tags appear 360 degrees and 100 meter radius every 5 seconds
You lose being able to see inactive enemies but gain basically 100% uptime for tags
100 might be too much, but far off any way.. humans can only ping a "cone"

have sniper and shotgun sentry and a bot tagging, those sentries will obliterate, and do so very ammo-efficiently.
they also don't stop pinging until every enemy they can see is tagged

downside is sometimes a bot will stop, stand still, do a spinning tag-ritual ~10 seconds, and then utter "nothing but us chickens"
sometimes waiting for bot to come thru door and he's doing da spin-o-rama.. best to just close the door and move without him 🙂
and very rarely they will get bugged and be constantly reloading and not tag anything
this happens particularily often in R6C1 with the T-scan

Assuming enemies are always tagged which turret would be better between the auto and burst turret?
auto and burst do not get affected by tags
shotgun and sniper sentry do
and between those 2 the sniper sentry is way better

the reason why burst is generally prefered is because its better as supportive fire (shooting with teammates or other burst sentries)

Burst sentry range got nerfed last patch iirc.
since r8, in my humble opinion, pairing shotgun and sniper is almost op.. shotgun stops, staggers and even kills, and sniper then unloads into that plug. then the very few that get thru are already weakened by shotgun, so almost free alarms etc. alltho, shotgun is not as hungry as before but still hungry, so it's a choice to make

In terms of which enemies they pick? Afaik they always pick the enemy closest to directly in front of them. (The shotgun sentry definitely does this)

you can either press Create team of 2, 3 or 4 and it'll create a completely new voice channel that you can use for invites
do keep in mind that anyone can join the VC, even without invites

People told me it's impossible to have more than 4 players too. The only way to have an observer/spectator mode is with mods. CinematographyPlugin_ReUploaded is one that does it.
10CC have their own internal tools for spectator modes which are not part of the main game.
You cannot have a team of more than 4. So you would be 3 + cameraman.

Well, currently I've got 8 groups of ppl here. Among them, 4 groups will be participating in the more "hardcore" serious speedrun of a map of my choice, and the other 4 will be participating in the "fun" tournament that's more of a lighthearted show. Since there's no luck getting a dedicated cameraman, I guess I 'll start editing the map files now, removing all full team bioscan.

Not sure i remember doing a scan on B4 and got softlocked due to the cameraman not being able to fix an issue with the mod that happened
For our trailers, we just use a Cinema cam mode that we created, that turns one of the players into a camera. If you look carefully, you'll notice that you never see 4 people in one frame, it's all 3 players being chased by a camera.
Speaking of , watching the 2017 trailer I just realized that players can't die. Only be downed.

Its a rare but unpleasant bug. Allegedly happens to specific doors on specific tilesets.
Most notably R4D2 class 7(?) scan suffers from it.
The wide door covering the room got a decent chance of bugging out this way and dooming the run.
sentry has the same thing as the bots, sees enemies through the cracks sometimes depending on the positionign

its good on corners and good positioning, if not a bit situational to the level
its not burst as in u can place it like anywhere but its good on certain places and chokepoints

The bug hunters were left down in the complex. Only updates that we know are coming are small bug fixes and patches
Such as the missing logs for the achievement hunt, the duplicate pMom in R5D1, and so on
Several translation errors have been reported as well ; I am not sure how they will proceed about those.

Burst
Depends on situation. Do you want to shave off a couple monsters from the wave, or do you want to crowd control the wave while you kill it? Burst for former and auto for latter.
Auto can prevent wipes when placed at the right time in the wave's face. Particularly I find it useful if you can practice placing it and then picking it up right between scans.

there are 3 with shotgun in the name, you need to be more specific than "the secondary shotgun"

Guys what cpu and gpu you need to have at least 100+ fps in levels like r8e2 or r5e1 especially during surge alarms?
Because i have 3060 and ryzen 5 5600x but during surge alarms have at best 60 fps

I honestly forgot how basic reactors work and confusing them with a different objective...
But basically once you're done with the wave it will tell you something like "code verification required. Password: CODE".
Then you got to reactor terminal and input

If the ward is correct - it will accept it and move on to the next stage.
I am getting 120 fps with an old i7-9700K paired with a 2080 Ti
But that might not be the best loadout.
You need to input it before timer runs out and you better not typo, as it will repeat current round as a punishment. You don't want to repeat rounds.
Uhh ok you know playing r1a1 with 240hz monitor and 200+ fps its like being in heaven. But than you turn on r5e1 with fog and surge alarms and my eyes starts crying.
It shoudn't be. I imagine 3 people + 2 turrets are more than enough. Hell, if anything ammo economy on those 2 turrets will be top notch... But you people will have to shoot more.

Just have 1 guy be a dedicated coder and run back as soon as timer appears.

Holding in bridge gives people great sightlines. Someone can hold in the little catwalk thing overseeing the bridge and just snipe from there.
also, know that waves do not ordinarily spawn during the code input timer
as soon as wave timer ends, you just need to cleanup and then you can regroup
Enemies lose a lot of momentum when they go around the corner of the hole in the wall leading to the bridge room
They are easily caught there by both sentires and players.
And if things go badly - you just backpedal.
makes the run back shorter too
Hell, one of the funny things i do is bring HEL Auto Sentry for a 3rd sentry and place it behind the yellow cargo truck.

You burn everything you find in the very first zone, then find the biggest tool packs you can find and bring them with you. Turrets will be doing a lion's share of the work.
I'd also like to reiterate hel shotgun will let you borderline solo hold some waves
because of the spread or just overall damage
