Hi everyone, so I just learnt about this game today and there's a sale on steam for it and I'm thinking of buying it however I read some things I didn't quite understand and wanted some clarification before I purchase so if anybody could help with the following I'd highly appreciate that.
1 - Are all there latest rundowns include in the game or are they all Pay to play DLC ad ons ?
2 - One of the server rules was not to encourage or play older rundowns, why is this so? is there a reason for this ? is all old content for the game obsolete when the new rundowns come out. Would new players not want to play the previous run downs to get better ?

2 - the old versions of the rundowns aren't quite obsolete, but it'd be difficult to find people to play with. The current version of the game includes remakes of the older rundowns.
While you can get better playing older rundowns and do some challenging stuff, it isn't really worth it if you're gonna be playing the current version of the game

the regular route summarised is
||drop down -> progress, do surge alarm -> start error, get cell -> go and use cell to open zone for resources, disinfect, and disable error alarm -> progress even more, stealth through 2 nasty zones -> get to large zone where you end up going on a wild goose chase of error alarms and keycards to finally get a 2nd cell -> use cell for an alarm door -> do a surge -> finish the mission||
with cell skip, you cut out the wild goose chase part at the cost of being higher on infection, worse on resources (for a while), and you'll likely pull the nasty zones to clear them
||drop down -> progress, do surge alarm -> start error, get cell -> go through nasty zones -> get to large zone, where you use the cell to start the 1st alarm to progress -> do the surge -> finish the mission||
of course I've missed out some details, but that's the gist of it

Then one of you hosts, and in rundown screen you should see the map he's hosting with a "Friend Hosting:1"
And you should be able to join via that

I almost had an R5D1 wiped by a guy dropping out from the game at last possible moment.
Not fun fact: after some hour or so the game's lobby "dies" and people can no longer rejoin said level and you can't even change player slot to a bot if it wasn't there already.
We had to finish the mission with 3 people and no turrets. Literally couldn't cut it any closer.

Then you do the alarm scan for 5 minutes and then it back to stealth grind
Rooms are not equal either
Some are small and contain like 10 enemies... The others are large and can easily contain like 30 hostiles in various combinations
In fact i know of 1 room in R1A1 that even wiped me that one time because i keep forgetting that its larger than it appears and then get jumpscared by my bot pinging them with biotracker and me going "Oh god, that's a lot more than i was expecting, oh crap oh shit"
