I am downloading this game for the 4th time. Previously downloaded it, bought it for all my friends, who played maybe 6 games with me before they quit bc it was too hard. I am hoping to give this game another try, it looks like theres been a bunch of updates since I last played, especially the addition of bots. So if I am friendless, I at least can TRY this game by myself unlike before.
Ill try and reach out to others who are familiar with the game to link up. I am in CDT/Chicago timezone and am usually free in the mornings. So if anyone wants to play arond that time please reach out to me.

bro i never want bots to have medipacks yet its like the one pack they will take over anything else
they also fucking LOVE lock melters for some reason
doing a foggy level with bots is infuriating because they will drop repellers first chance they get
i dont mind them with lock melters because im to lazy to do hack locks to the point id rather bust down the doors
but when im tryna be low hp for the stealth sections and conserve meds for big alarms and shit the bots healing me is hella annoying
yeah they have no resource conservation
they should only use stuff on you if you're below 40% but requesting it ("I need ammo/etc") makes them use it on you
if im 20% hp thats the amount i wanna be at until i say otherwise
20% hp means fucking up a stealth section is basically never a big deal and allows rooms to be cleared so much faster

that's the level where we had chargers spawn in the same room that was being cleared, 2 guys went in, 2 stayed in the room before it to deal with chargers but i guess gtfo parameters said nope to that run we did nothing wrong just screwed by the whacky spawns
the guys who went in probably went in too far which caused the spawns to happen on top of you
you need to tell the holders to come in once you are going to go 2+ rooms away from them
its not a problem with that particular error either

2 guys went in I didnāt I stayed basically in the same room where they opened the security door dealing with error they go in not even half way into the room a scout like 20 meters or 30 meters away from them randomly screams we asked nobody triggered anything and I didnāt see anymore chargers spawning on my end so for whatever reason something alerted the scout even tho like I said both guys were too far from it and didnāt even alert any other enemies
And no it wasnāt my gunfire I made sure I was away a bit

If I'm thinking of the same thing, that's a bug that's specific to levels that aren't supposed to allow forward spawns.
But R1-R5 do allow forward spawns.

i have 80% and still got 38% infect
I always thought infection resist would just lower the rate of how much you get infected sorta like how regen cap increases the max hp you can regen from using 20hp as the multiplier
if you have 50% infection resist you take 50% less infection, it's not hard

There's lots of situations where you'd expect to take partial but not full infection where that would have a significant effect, just you still need to play around it.

currently there is 5 rundowns (set of levels) that you can play (especially there Alt Rundown 4 is out for 2 weeks)
with the option you can only queue for 1 rundown
it is normal that you hardly find anyone on matchmaking
with 3 more rundowns coming
matchmaking would basically be time consuming
they should really update the matchmaking system I would say
to play a specific level there is so many other levels that the community just aint big enough to play specific levels
with 3 or 4 players atleast
at least there should be an option to queue for all rundown

i really enjoyed having pdw + mg for the reactor waves, it really took the edge off of the mixed shadow waves

you can do it any way you like, bio + mines code search until cell, and then 2nd bio comes defend
bio + mines code search as a duo until the end, mines goes to defend for wave 6
mines has thermal so isn't scared of wave 6, etc etc

I've seen a few "watch before you buy" type videos and understand its very mechanically driven which I'm not against
seeing both sides of the learning curve is a good idea imo
but once you get a handle on the mechanics, and know how the game "wants to be played" its a blast

It is going to be rare to find someone who tested the max out boosters, and then slightly worse versions down the percentage scale. I haven't come across anyone in the server who is interested in boosters, and enjoys testing like that

Spoiler, I did not survive. I decided to vent about an hour into it, shot a lot of ammo, ran out of ammo. Bots fell a few times, we got to exfil without bishop, exfil was slow and we died)
I know, I did actually, that's why I was so slow. Just was studying the level, ran back and forth in hopes of finding forgotten ammo packs, or just because didn't feel to clear one room so I went to clear other rooms
Also, struggled to find terminals in zones I needed, but that was purely out of laziness

I highly recommend you go and find people in #lfg-beginners playing with 3 bots its fun for a while but then you will hit a wall really quick

Yeah playing with people pretty close to your skill level is by far my preferred way of going through the game

carbine and hel revo
sometimes pdw, dmr, rifle and hel shotty
in compare with dmr, hel revo much more better at stats plus reload abuse
but at the same time its most broken and annoying weapon
it has straight up better efficiency, reload cancel and pen
has worse matchup vs shooters, range and mag size
mag size not problem for this reload
mag size is still noticeable
but...0.5 sec reload vs 1.5-3
especially when you also have a good (albeit not insane like hel revo) reload cancel on dmr
its roughly 1 sec not 0.5
dmr is roughly 1.5 with cancel
