I'm not sure precisely. I heard about this happening on SOME levels where enemies start spawning like mad if you take too long.

Other than that - just try to move forward while blasting incoming enemies. The biotracker bot can ping them from a mile away - just ambush them around a corner or something.
If they end up spawning behind you instead - just run and close the doors.

Well machine gun is good for a crowd control, atleast in my playstyle...i using shotguns when playing with assault rifles but i preffer DMR for it's damage and since it's a slow firing weapon i preffer machine gun to get rid of bigger horde, worked pretty well so far, saved life a lot of times

To answer your question, you want you and your team to hold a point for oncoming hordes like the bridge near the security door or otherwise a good choke point for funneling the reactor waves. You want at least 1 person dedicated to entering the "REACTOR_VERIFY" command and its respective code for the wave you are on. Around the 15 second mark of combat should that player run back to the terminal to enter the command to then run back and collect resources with the rest of the group. Other helpful tips are:
- Bring crowd control special and main weapons such as "Hel Revolver, Hel Gun, Hel Rifle, Machinegun (either variant), etc."
- Make sure sentry placement is at the choke point entry where enemies enter the zone.
- Have skill in aiming and shooting the enemies.
- Control the crowd and don't get overrun. Have 1 sniper user prioritize giants and hybrid takedowns.

u can also get other guns apart from the sniper, like a hel rifle or burst cannon so u can use it to mow down other enemies, but the sniper works well too

good point ^ but I would suggest sniper so they can just 1 shot them while burst cannon can't 1 shot hybrids which will probably be the most challenging enemy for a new team even if you shoot all shots at its head

Oh, also to add on the reply:
Make sure to conserve ammo and balance ammunition between both main and special weapons, i.e., don't have 100% sniper 0% dmr even if it's a waste. You will get a lot of ammo and not using your special is a waste of resources as it gives you approx 30% per ammo hit on special.
