people eyesight is different including me (eyesight is pretty bad enough), pre-R6 bio when ADS give you a zoom into the bio and it let you see clearly the "meter" you are away from the enemy
it serve no purpose other than zooming in and give you the detail (can still see all those meter without zooming in with good eyesight)

It is literally meant to be a "you die after 15 minutes" mechanic.
