it's also worth noting that bowfa often feels better than it really is. it's a very noob friendly weapon, being target agnostic (unlike tbow which sucks on low magic targets), high accuracy, 10 tile range, modest attack speed (meaning losing an occasional tick doesn't kill your dps as hard as blowpipe)

yeah, it's very easy to notice 0s in this game, and Leviathan is somewhat tanky so bowfa is easy to like there

actually on release it was kinda sorta bis (Masori zcb was better at high hp, and bp was better for enrage, but bowfa technically won in between those points, plus very comfy to camp for the whole kc if you were lazy)

but since then we've gotten more range upgrades and Leviathan's heavy range def also got nerfed
