you can read #cm-text-guide or even #cm-efficient-guide to learn some strats and what not. usually even for 'chill' raids the expectation is a 10:5 prep by each person, ironman usually scavs for team (clarify in advance), and vasa skip. Occasionally there is a rope skip

If you stand on the mage row in the middle and click the melee hand 1t before olm attacks, you can do 2 lance hits and run across before the auto
Only one guy can do it in a duo or else it fucks it up
It's called 2:0 and you wont take a single auto while killing melee hand

Torva is virtually meaningless, shadow is strong but not going to make or break raiding. if you want to raid, grind min gear and start raiding

only really know chambers but you can comfortably do scales/cms with ~500m bank (ayak, dhl, dhcb/bofa). weapon upgrades more important than armour so prio shadow rebuild. The best thing you can do is learn the raid properly, would rather raid with someone who has 500m bank who listens to advice than someone in max who does what they want and doesn’t learn.

void melee, at ToB, is about equal DPS to bandos. It's only -1 max hit (but has a bit extra ccuracy) so it's effectively the same thing. At Tob, defence doesn't matter except at sotetseg, so you'd use void melee in that instance, especially since void range is BIS.
Oathplate and torva are far superior to bandos and so once you're no longer brand new to tob you'd swap from void melee to one of those.
You shouldn't be using void melee anywhere else but tob tbh.

void is used because 1) it's inventory space friendly and 2) it's free. At ToB and doom, void range is BIS. At ToB, void mage and melee are both very good due to the low inventory space and their comparable DPS to mid-range setups (bandos/ahrims)
