Toa with no invocations is pretty good at learning the basic raid mechanics. You could watch a run on youtube to see the basic mechanics, but the raid is pretty good at showing/telling what you need to do.

A lot of the challenge with toa is the invos, without them you have infinite attempts with the bosses having stats similar to the final boss of the quest to unlock it (some of them are easier than the quest boss itself)
