Generally advice given to irons in ironscape disc is that joining up with friends with better gear is only worth it if that allows you to signficiantly increase the invocation level, otherwise solo is better.

Pretty rough throwing on any paths atm, tried wtp up to like 360 for better purp% but kephri took months. So have settled for other invos like double trouble to scale it up. So at least have some takeaways from it so far

anywhere between 300-350 is fine to run without a fang. W:o fang it is especially nice to try and keep wtp off. You might want to look into the supply invos, I feel like the lowest one is free as fuck

For info on the rooms, you can visit #tob-learner-guide but note that TOB entry mode is immensly less punishing and does not require all the gear in the setups.

Note: Unlike regular ToB, doing Story Mode solo is very viable if you learn the mechanics of the bosses. It was created this way on purpose as it is essentially one long quest boss. Don't try to duo it - it scales poorly and is quite hard. It is very easy to complete yourself if you follow a YouTube guide.

You use it only to hit the nylo boss lol and you get the same # of hits as a sang staff
If anything it's better to kill large mage nylos in the earlier waves
