easier in a DUO yes; that said the root of the issue here is you seem to be struggling with avoiding damage on the final row. If you turn off OD/Dehydration for ambrosia you'll make the roooms harder

Wrong mindset. Use all your supplies. Worry about supply conservation after you get to zuk once or twice
Getting to zuk with 0 brews 0 restores is better than dying wave 60 with 6 of each.
You're not getting the cape on your first zuk. You want Jad and zuk experience so your 2nd or 3rd run is more likely.
