#Is there a way to make the background not brightened?

I'm using the background template from the Miraheze dev wiki and for some reason the background on my wiki is a lot brighter than usual.

Is there any way to prevent this?

#

Also when I refresh the page, the background image is normal for a moment, but then fades into a much brighter color really quickly.

#

Another thing is that image is slightly darker in dark mode as well:

This is the expected behavior btw. It prevents bright backgrounds from being a flashbang in dark mode by conditionally darkening the image.
This can be tweaked with a CSS variable but it'll change the opacity everywhere else. The variable needs to be split into two to be overridden without side effects. PRs welcome for https://github.com/lihaohong6/MirahezeDevScripts. I'll probably work on it myself when I finish what I have on hand.

# royal chasm alright

Documentation page updated on dev. You can override CSS variables to adjust the opacity now.
