i need some help to get the default quote template to work

Hi im trying to make the quote 'template' to work so I can add a quote to some of my wiki pages. I want a template so i can just fill in the like box forms each time not go to the coding editor and type complicated code in. I found this on google https://wiki.18t.rip/wiki/Template:Character_Quote so i copied it into my page on my wiki called template=quote but it hasnt worked. Any help is appreciated :)

I think so because i have a template on another page that works (An info box)

Unless thats not necesserily the case in which case i can check

i basiclly opened the link i sent, clicked 'edit source', copied, then went to my wiki, went to the 'template:quote' page, created it, and hit paste

Hmm ok i followed the 'how to add this to your wiki' link, did the stuff it said, but my template=quote page is still that one i found off google which i know now was stealing so my bad but how do i remove it lol

For the record, the formatting markup for mediawiki isn’t really that bad compared to coding

I followed the link and my template quote page looks like this but

I made a new page and tried to insert template Quote and it just shows this
