The naming is done in [Special:AllMessages] I believe. But I am not sure which ones would need to be changed for you.

For tabs, simply use [[mw:Extension:TabberNeue]] to split the contents of the page
For links, these "tabs" would simply be links to another pages or subpages

From the extension management, I can only change the $wgTabberNeueUpdateLocationOnTabChange item.

It's possible that this setting is not exposed to ManageWiki. If you're not finding it with the search in ManageWiki, you can request this to be exposed for everyone on Phabricator
Please keep in mind it has to be done manually by a volunteer so it can take up to a few days I think
