Like the title says, I wanted to request a wiki but it's decline because it's using non-alphanumerical letters, even though it doesn't. How should I be able to fix this?

ie, alienplanetthing without any extra, which if approved will become alienplanetthing.miraheze.org automatically

What do you mean?

#

@jaunty island sorry for pinging you

I'm not sure what is confusing, that was the aspect of your screenshot that had an issue

#

you need the database name to be the url of your wiki, the .miraheze.org part will be there automatically and you don't put it in

#

subdomain is unique name of your wiki in URL

#

example:
for meta.miraheze.org subdomain is meta and nothing else

I successfully created my wiki, and now I cannot create a page, how do I do that?

vapid tundra
#

in URL after /wiki/ type title of page you want to create then hit Enter

#

example
...miraheze.org/wiki/Example

#

skin Cosmos has "create article" button tho

How do I create infobox templates?

#

@vapid tundra sorry for pinging

vapid tundra
#

then don't ping ...

#

I check server whenever I can, same w/ the rest folks, we are volunteers

#

easiest way to create infobox from scratch is enable PortableInfobox extension and open .../wiki/Special:InfoboxBuilder page, which will help to create simple infobox
infoboxes must have Template: prefix

dusky stratus
#

how to enable PortableInfobox?

vapid tundra
#

see your admin menu, there must be "Manage this wiki's extensions" link, PortableInfobox in Parser hooks tab

dusky stratus
#

Where is my admin menu?

vapid tundra
#

last part of sidebar on the left

dusky stratus
#

oh...

#

It's taking a very long time for it to load special infobox builder, what should I do?

vapid tundra
#

it happens sometimes

dusky stratus
#

I did but it does not work

vapid tundra
#

it can be coded manually

#

check pinned messages in #general for guides

#

what browser are you using?

dusky stratus
#

uhhh... Windows computer?

dusky stratus
#

I put an infobox on the page and it won't show

vapid tundra
dusky stratus
#

firefox

vapid tundra
#

yeah, there are issues w/ firefox unfortunately

#

you coded the template by guides?

dusky stratus
#

yeah...

vapid tundra
#

alright

#

on article, where you gonna use infobox, have you filled values?

#

like
...|name = Peter |age = 19 |...

dusky stratus
#

yeah

vapid tundra
#

what's your wiki?

dusky stratus
#

vegiciagicir

vapid tundra
#

ah it's private

#

can't see anything in that case

dusky stratus
#

How do you put in a divider in a infobox
Like where the red circle is at

dusky stratus
vapid tundra
#

<header>...</header>

dusky stratus
#

what's that?

vapid tundra
#

code for "divider" you just asked about ...

#

it's a (smaller) header for infobox

#

text goes instead of ...

dusky stratus
#

At least can you help me get the infobox to show up?

vapid tundra
#

I can't unless you give me permission to see your wiki, or make it temporarily public (easier if other members will try to help, as I'm going to sleep soon)

dusky stratus
#

How do I do that?

vapid tundra
#

make wiki public?
in admin menu first link called "core settings", just uncheck the box of "Private"

dusky stratus
#

you can now check the wiki

dusky stratus
#

How do I make more databoxes appear? Like I did it for the other page and now it isn't showing me the info again

dusky stratus

dusky stratus
#

@chilly cobalt @round hazel Can any of you help

#

uhh... The info isn't showing up again, like in last time

#

Can you at least fix it for me please?

#

At least explain more on the data perimeters?

dusky stratus
#

How do I do the parameters though?
