Hello. I recently put in a recreation request for my Wiki and now I've seen that data can be recovered. Will my Wiki simply be restored now?

Omg this is amazing. I thought so but wanted to check. Brilliant so hopefully within a week or so everything will be back. Fingers crossed.

Cross-posting my summary. 🙂

  1. Drive recovery on damaged DB141 drives was successful
  2. Due to a foul-up in ticket instructions w/ the folks in the data center, the new DB141 got deleted while backups were still in progress.
  3. There were 1-day old backups for most re-created wikis (this is likely the case if your subdomain starts with O or above), but early December is the farthest back that wikis with domains starting w/ P and beyond may be subjected to
  4. New plan is to rebuild db141 on the recovered data (which should restore ALL DB141 wikis to pre-november crash status), then insert most recent available XML backups for recreated wikis
  5. No action is needed on the part of any users, this will all be handled on our side, ideally within the week if all goes according to plan.

Yes, all public/private wikis that existed pre-november crash will be able to be restored to their pre-crash state at minimum.
