hey so i'm having trouble uploading files to my new wiki. instead of showing the thumbnail for the file the site just shows the clickable file name (note that the mediawiki files show up just fine) and this image appears when i open visual editor, is there any possible reason for this

They'll be back soon

#

It's a side effect of the migration

fallow hemlock
# frigid ember Thanks

No problem. Looks like it is actually importing on your wiki right now, so should be less than an hour before all done.

Looking good now. 👍

yeah i guess it'll be a while

fallow hemlock
#

Nothing should be different there yet...

keen chasm
#

oh does that mean that

#

there shouldnt be any problem to begin with?

river thistle
#

your wiki shouldn't have an issue if it's z

#

what is your wiki

keen chasm
river thistle
#

what is your issue even?

keen chasm

That's interesting.

keen chasm
#

all of these images are uploaded

#

and also note that this does not happen for images that are part of wikipedia commons

#

like the default ones

#

its just for the ones that i upload

#

strangely this specific file did upload and works just fine

#

i think it didnt open correctly on mobile when i tried this morning

@fallow hemlock

keen chasm
#

so im quite confused

river thistle
#

console says 401

fallow hemlock
#

Wait, is your wiki a new wiki? IE created within the last couple days?

keen chasm
#

yes

fallow hemlock
#

That's why. New wikis are on Swift.

keen chasm
#

oh

fallow hemlock
#

But still shouldn't have issues.

keen chasm
#

so has it already migrated in a way

fallow hemlock
#

Yeah.

keen chasm
#

the post said that it can stay this way after the migration

#

for a while

#

so maybe its that

fallow hemlock
#

But it should've been as soon as created. It shouldn't have ever had any issues.

#

Is it a private wiki?

keen chasm
#

nope

fallow hemlock
#

hmm...

#

I'll take a look shortly.

river thistle
#

@fallow hemlock Swift is returning a 401

keen chasm
#

one thing ive done here that i never did on any other wiki is allow the msupload extension if that can be related

#

however the only file ive uploaded through that is uae

fallow hemlock
keen chasm
#

the rest i removed and uploaded separately

fallow hemlock
keen chasm
#

nope

#

i just uploaded a new one a while ago and it has the same issue

#

i did msupload for like 8 files but i had to revert all of them because the file names got messed up

#

and it assigned the wrong ones to the wrong images

river thistle
#

ye, msupload is broken

fallow hemlock
#

Okay, I am going to take a look shortly.

keen chasm
#

i assume this symbol means something

river thistle
#

not really no

#

beyond we can't handle this

fallow hemlock
#

Hmm. Container access seems to be wrong I guess. I thought this only affected private wikis that we fixed yesterday, but seems something went wrong with zone access here...

#

Or not...

#

The container is missing... hmm... something must not have been prepared properly

#
universalomega@mwtask141:~$ swift stat miraheze-zayadenawiki-local-thumb
Container 'miraheze-zayadenawiki-local-thumb' not found

I have created the container now, so it should now work.

universalomega@mwtask141:~$ swift post miraheze-zayadenawiki-local-thumb --read-acl "mw:media,.r:*,mw:media" --write-acl "mw:media,mw:media"
universalomega@mwtask141:~$ swift stat miraheze-zayadenawiki-local-thumb
               Account: AUTH_mw
             Container: miraheze-zayadenawiki-local-thumb
