So we're an open-source project, and they're closed-source; the launcher isn't FPS, while FPS is for mods and Java.

We handle the technical side and improve the launcher's functionality—as for what you're asking... well, that's nonsense. Just download the mods or go use those clients.

No... there's no way they'd double it.

It would double the hardware usage, and then what's the point of a launcher that would gobble up 2–3 GB of RAM?
