#Trouble running olympus on arch linux

Have you used Python before? If you used pipx run pipx ensurepath, if you used pip make sure the location it installed mons to is in your PATH
well it installed it to /home/thomas/.local/lib/python3.10/site-packages which is not one of my PATH directories
noticed python also not able to find some modules which I didn install
gonna try n change my pip install direcotory
how do I still get this I installed it to my PATH?
mons is installed in a directory that is now in my PATHs but it still cant find it for some reason
uh
what's your pip --version?
pip 22.1.2 from /usr/lib/python3.10/site-packages/pip (python 3.10)
wait wtf I opened a new terminal and the PATH is back to normal
That'll happen, if you want it to persist you have to add the export to your .bashrc
oooh okay
could that be the issue?
gonna do it anyway
nope same issue even after adding it to my bashrc
weird... I'm going to be hopefully setting up an AUR package for it soon which might help, and I think one of the upcoming changes lets you run it with python -m mons so I'll try to remember to let you know when that's available
ah i see
thanks a lot anyway!
also have the same issue with a lot of python packages where it cant find the module even tho its in my PATH, so it's def just an issue on my end
ooooh partof mons was stored in .local/bin for some reason so needed to add that
works now thanks!
Let me know if you have any trouble using it

uhm so, feel rlly stupid but everything installed correctly and I'm just trying to search for the SpringCollab rn
cuz it says Usage: mons mods add [OPTIONS] NAME [MODS]...
but I tried mons mods add --search NAME https://gamebanana.com/mods/150813 and a bunch of other combinations.. But they all give back error similar to Error: Invalid value for 'NAME': Install NAME does not exist.
NAME Is supposed to be the name you assigned to your Celeste install, and if you have a GB link then you don't need the --search option
You can list your Celeste installs with mons list
aaaaah okay haha thought it was weird it just said NAME there 😅
yea saw that thanks!
😅
yayyy my everest is now all up n running thanks so much
rlly great program!
So when I try to run olympus I get: ./love: line 5: /home/thomas/Downloads/Games/CelesteMods/linux.main/usr/bin/love: No such file or directory. Even though I installed love as the prepacked one did not work either. I dont actually even have a usr/bin directory so the package is located somewhere else, how do I change this so olympus knows where to get the package?
@amber depot you may have better luck getting mons to work, assuming you're comfortable with the commandline
