Are B and C sides canon?

The advancement for getting a tape is "gateway" so it can be in a parallel realm

and maybe it can be another dreams Madeline had, because their are theories saying that dreams can be a from of "practice" in real world situations

otherwise, some things just lose their meaning
I think that these levels are invented without any secret meaning

they didn’t happen but an organism’s brain behaved like it did

it’s unclear if madeline is experiencing the b/c sides because she never comments on it

the mountain map physically can’t fit the b/c sides in so it can’t be an alternative route

although the same is true for the summit

I am so glad I’m not the only one who thought of these similarities, time rifts and b sides have so much in common

Just noticed this thread here, my two cents are that because of stuff like Badeline chasing in 2b and (iirc) oshiro chasing in 3b they aren’t alternative routes up, and the dream or alternate reality works best seeing as we know dreams are extremely vivid in Celeste and the possibility of an alternate viewing of the same places through the lens of something like time rifts from AHIT doesn’t seem far fetched to me

When climbing Celeste, Madeline finds cassettes for the A side music and playing it makes the area (that she journeys through to find the B side cassette and climb the mountain) appear cause mountain magic. So when she instead plays the mix for a B or C side, that’s the area the mountain give her
