I recently got this game after months of wanting to play it. Despite all of the internet content on it I kept my run completely blind and just wow. I want to genuinely say thank you to the developers. I am non-binary and pansexual, because of this I have struggled with depression and anxiety, this game really helped me put things into perspective and the relation between me and the character brought me to tears multiple times throughout my run. I have a genuine love for this game, a beautiful soundtrack, an amazing story and characters so easy for me to connect with and relate to. I wish I would have bought this game sooner. hi devs, i went through the game and very quickly learnt how much of a perfect game it was, then i do the b-sides and just when i think i’m done, c-sides and golden berries… I spent so much time trying to do 7-Cg and finally doing it was how 11 year old me felt after pulling a rare pokemon card. pure joy and excitement shot right through me, Granny’s heartfelt “take care of yourself, okay?” brought me to tears. Thank you everybody at EXOK Games for making all of this happen. you’re all amazing. :>

After recovering from nearly drowning in tears when initially playing through the main story, I was finally ready to return to this game to beat all the C sides, collect remaining strawberries (not golden) and beat Farewell. While it wasn't nearly as emotional to me as the main story up to the Summit, I still enjoyed the story, particularly Madeline's and Badeline interactions with each other. (Also it made me happy to see the pride flags in Madeline's room 
)
This is a really special game to me and while I flip flopped between hating and loving the game designers guts during every screen, the apprecciation I have for this game and you people for making this game gives me a fuzzy and warm feeling inside my heart.

I played Celeste for the first time about a year ago and since then it’s become one of my favorite games of all time and it’s up there with Mario galaxy for my favorite platformer ever. I love nearly everything about this game, from the characters to the excellent level design. Also it’s great to have a trans protagonist that doesn’t feel forced.

After getting all 175 regular strawberries and then realizing that “oh god, the C-Sides are a thing too,” and going through the entire story and realizing that Madeline scarily reminds me of myself quite a lot, I can safely say this is one of the greatest games I’ve played in a long time. Thanks to the well thought out and (when it comes to how the characters interact) realistic story, the engaging and easy to learn gameplay, and the difficulty that’s almost as bad as trying to learn Assembly, I’ve had a lot of fun with this game.
And yes I did just about cry a couple times.

Whilst my farewell golden grind isn't quite over just yet, it's nearing its end soon (hopefully) and I realised just how much I'm gonna miss streaming this game. It's been an absolute pleasure to play this through from my first steps, to my fwg completion soon.
Whilst I'm here I also wanna give a huge thanks to the community itself. I'm so grateful for all the support that has been given to me during my playthrough of the game (especially the farewell golden grinds). This is one of the most wholesome communities I've ever been a part of and I'm glad to have met you all.
I do plan on getting a PC in the future in order to play and stream all the custom content, but until then I will be staying in this community for the foreseeable future and will try to be way more active here as a whole.

This game is epic, it took me way too long to beat, yet never once did it feel impossible.
Nice balance, except for 3c and 6b, they left a bad taste in my mouth.
Tho, something that makes the game infinetely better is that one of the devs is a frickn cacodemon.
I can only assume it rams its face into a button of some kind to make magic happen.
Jokes asside, when i initially played the base game a year ago, i never realised madeline was trans, and such refferences scattered around and about.
They are there if you look for it, and not all in your face.
It gave me room to learn things without people shaming me for it, if that makes any amount of sense...

I got Celeste in 2019 at Epic Games, and I only played for 3 chapters, since at the time, I was more focused on video editing and just forgot to finish the rest
Replaying now in 2022, it managed to be one of my favorite games of all time
The game has everything good, it has a heartfelt story, beautiful art style, manages to teach you the basics of gameplay, good characters and is really super fun
It's hard at times, but the game's appeal kept me coming back for more and trying to get past the map.
And with the community making mods and speedruns for the game, it made it have a good active user base, which it's great to stick around.
Good work to all of you and thank you so much for making such a beautiful game and I hope a promising future for you

I agree, you guys made an AMAZING experience with an amazing message. Most games that are hard as heck are... they just are, no real reason besides it feels more rewarding. The plot and story and setting of Celeste tie perfectly into the gameplay, and (In my opinion) the difficulty is really good as well! I feel like depending on how stressed a character is, the harder the level is. (Cough cough, Celeste Hotel A Side). I have spent so much time in this game, and I just want to thank you guys for adding assist mode. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to see a lot of the amazing work you guys did, and mentioning that it's for accessibility, and not cheating, makes it feel way more ok. It's ok to take the help if you need it, and that's the same here.
So: Thank you, so much. You guys deserve all the success you get, and more. (Also, there is no reason for you guys to put the game on sale for $5, I wish I paid $10!.)

hello!! me n my friend have been playing celeste for approx 2 years now. in total we have around 460 hours. both of us have anxiety disorders and madeline’s arc hit really hard for both of us. also I have used the feather technique during a panic attack, and it worked so well. I love this game so much. thank you for making it!! (ps i’ve bought celeste 3 times-and it’s worth so much more than the money i spent. Also here is some fanart i made recently.
