Elllo, I wanted to try the new CrossOver collab mod, only to find to my surprise that Olympus is not launching anymore with this error message : "LoadLibrary failed with Error 998 : Invalid access to memory location"

I've tried to uninstall and re-installed (Celeste/Everest/Olympus) / Restarded my pc on minimals and retryied to install / Make sure steam is not running and removed Celeste from the steam saves cloud but nothing change this Error

Actually mt situation is :

  • Celeste can launch with Everest
  • But I can open Olympus

I__s this a common issue that I could have avoided? Is this known in some way and there is a fix? Can I maybe avoid using Olympus and just download the mod?__

Excuse my english, as it is not my first langage; And thanks to anyone trying to help.

Thanks ya

So what I'm understanding is that you can open the game but not olympus, the launcher? One person had a similar-ish issue where this happened when they tried to install everest but this does not seem to be it.

Olympus is having a problem and needs to be manually reinstalled.
Here are the steps explaining how to do so:

  • Download the latest Olympus stable build. You can find it here.
  • Open the zip file you just downloaded. Go to the folder inside it, and open the dist.zip inside.
    • Those are the new Olympus files.
  • Press Windows+R. Type in %appdata%\Olympus and press Enter.
    • If you do not have a Windows key, right click the Start logo, and click on "Run".
    • Those are the old Olympus files.
  • Delete all the old Olympus files, and replace them with the new Olympus files.
    • If done correctly, all the new files should be in the same place as the old files, except that they're newer.
  • Launch Olympus.
The reinstall should now be complete. You can verify that by clicking on "Options & Updates".

You've reinstalled olympus already but do a manual reinstall which fixes more files
