Its a serious problem for russians: a lot of us cannot update mods as well as download the dependencies.
I did some tests and found out maddie480.ovh cannot be accessed by lua according to Olympus connectivity test. Its also inaccessible from my browser (tried both Firefox and Edge)

Unfortunately, the tool i use for bypassing russian restrictions for discord & youtube couldnt help here. In fact it makes it even worse, breaking C# connection too.
I tried some VPNs too, but with no result

Heres the result of the test built-in the bypass tool:

* SUMMARY
ipv4 maddie480.ovh curl_test_http : working without bypass
ipv4 maddie480.ovh curl_test_https_tls12 : working without bypass
ipv4 maddie480.ovh curl_test_http3 : winws not working //winws is basically the bypass

Celeste itself constantly screams about the failed SSL connection (log attached)

There's no mirror for the APIs maddyS

I could set up a mirror for everest_update.yaml and mod_dependency_graph.yaml and such on everestapi.github.io, but... it would be more complicated to mirror the mod browser

That helps with the mod downloading, not everything before you actually download the mod

When I query maddie480.ovh with curl --http3 it ends up using http2, so I'm assuming it just doesn't do http3 at all

the main issue is being unable to update mods and download the dependencies, so only parts for those processes ought to be replicated

everestapi.github.io is a static website, so not everything will be able to be replicated there, but just enough to allow mod updating and dependency downloading

Yeah, maddie480.ovh hosts some sort of index with the latest versions of mods and their links on GameBanana, and Everest uses it to know where to find a dependency from its name

What would be hard to replicate on everestapi.github.io would be the "Download Mods" section of Olympus, but I guess that's less critical :p

The mirroring is in place (https://everestapi.github.io/updatermirror/everest_update.yaml), but some work is left to make Everest actually use the thing

Maybe I'll make a mod first, to check if that even fixes the issue for you

tried removing libcurl.dll from olympus appdata
connectivity test is now ok, the mods in olympus are still not loading concerneline
