#i keep getting an error log when opening everest

i had to re-install windows yesterday (i dont know if that matters but its worth mentioning), after re-downloading celeste and trying to open everest i keep getting an error

Try verifying game files and reinstall everest after.

Open your celeste folder and delete this file.
uhh show me your Saves/modsettings-Everest.celeste

It might be corrupted.

Oh and if you're on steam disable steam cloud when you do it so steam won't restore the file.

Honestly it might not be that file exactly since the line number is so high but this seems like some settings file is corrupt. But the only other example I was able to find was a corrupted modsettings-Everest.celeste file.

It is basically just a renamed text file.
Send it here by dragging it into discord and I'll check if there's something wrong with it.

Yep that is corrupt. You can see how the file just cuts out at the end.

I don't think so. Just make sure that steam doesn't redownload the corrupt file from the cloud.

After launching the game you should be able to enable steam cloud again and then choose to upload the local files to cloud.
