#i cant get everest to install properly. [linux]

i installed everest but then when launching the game i would get an:
"System.UnauthorizedAccessException" for the mods/cache folder.
so i tried running the install script again and running olympus.
it worked correctly.
then i clikced on install everest and it told me there were some residual files left so i told it to clear the files and then reinstall, after less then a sec i get an error.
Im using Linux Mint cinnamon (debian based), here are my log files (my username is replaced by [myusername] so dont get confused by that

I ran olympus as root so it should be able to do whatever

..doesnt this mean that you created those files as root and now can't delete them while running olympus as not root

then nuke the celeste folder's contents (not the folder itself) and verify game files

then run olympus as your user and install everest

everest seems to have loaded fine.
Ill try installing a mod and seeing if that works, cuz that seemed to break it last time

because sometimes steam on linux tries to install the windows version and use proton
