Basically i wanna do the same thing as in farewell-event horizon (the part where the black hole appears everytime it glitches).
I have set up some glitch triggers but they appear to no do the trick.

Yes why?

ok just making sure you're using the right thing

#

apparently it works by just finding the blackhole bg in your stylegrounds and forcing it visible

#

so make sure that you have one in your stylegrounds and that it'll appear over top whatever the normal background is

So does the layer of the blackhole bg matter?

molten idol
#

yes, if it's behind the normal background then it'll just end up hidden behind it when it becomes visible

#

it doesn't force it in front, it just forces it to be active

So i moved it to background but it just goes in front of the background anyway. For context im using northern lights and star dust

#

It doesnt work like this for some reason

Isn’t that behind everything

obsidian escarp
#

It is behing everything, i even clicked move to background just to be safe but it still shows up in front

earnest pine
#

The other backgrounds are covering it

#

Then I guess disable it for the rooms up to the glitch including the room with the glitch effect

obsidian escarp

so i got it workin, that the blackhole is now behind my other backgrounds by moving it higher in the list, but if i step into a moon glitch background trigger, it still doesnt show the black hole

#

even if i tick the "stay" option it doesnt work

earnest pine
#

Put it in front and disable it for that room

obsidian escarp
#

ok i found the problem

#

basically moving it in front and disabling it didnt work,so i went to farewell and looked at the blackhole styleground. the thing they did is adding the tag "blackhole". well it works now ig, so thx for the help

earnest pine
#

Oh. Well it’s nice that you got it working

obsidian escarp
#

i found out another thing. it doesnt only work with the black hole, you can give any background the "blackhole" tag and it'll behave the same.

earnest pine
#

Well if it works by tag that’s to be expected
