That message should only ever happen if both people try to do the same thing at the same time so your games can't agree on who's first
If you both leave the matching ui and reopen it, and just like slow down and don't spam buttons then it should work fine. If it still doesn't, then i may need a log file

upping this because we're having the same issue (and tried many times so it's probably not us going too fast)
