#Running Everest without a Mouse
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
do you mean olympus?
Dont know?
I kinda really don't know. Is there a way to run mods without an GUI, or only with a keyboard press?
yeah everest itself doesn't require a mouse. you probably need one for the installation though
well you could work out the manual installation probably
What needs to be done on that?
the website has instructions for a manual install
well you need to be able to unzip a file and run an executable
Can the executable be run on ssh?
why wouldn't it?
And does celeste needs to be in a specific location or do i just type it in or put the executable in it
though i'm wondering what is your end goal here
celeste can be anywhere, everest is then unzipped in the same folder as celeste, and then you run MiniInstaller for the platform you're on
To be able to play celeste modification
Also last question i think is does it have any libs or dependecies that are needed?
And where is the guide for it? I cant find it or is it just the normal install guide?
scroll down in the everest website
disclaimer: mons might not be a good pick right now as the dev for it is missing in action and it's known to not handle core installs well (last i checked)
Oh im stupid... I just saw the first section with the installer thing and didnt see the manual installation.
In which of those should it be?
none, the correct folder is already open
...wait
where did you get this celeste from
From my linux device
What the device or the game?
the game
what are those different files, celeste-repacker, port.json, etc
Oh it's for the device. celeste-repacker just compromised the PNGs and sounds but I didn't run it
Maybe I should have said that earlier but I'm trying to run it on those EmulatorsHandhelds
Thats why port.json
interesting
put it in the left folder then
Ah thx. And here if you read what it does and how it is running https://retrogamecorps.com/2022/04/30/guide-celeste-on-the-anbernic-rg552/#more-9625
that explains a lot then yeah
but im not sure if it'll handle everest
considering it needs to install the .net 7 runtime
Time to figure it cause allot of people wanted it on it
uhh, i see the dev is trying to patch celeste in-place
if you apply those patches everest will almost definitely not install or work properly
Nope I have just removed the part in the .sh
