Hey all! Need to reinstall everest after validating game files. The thing is just... not installing for whatever reason. Would really appreciate help with it! Attached relevant lines from launcher and log.txt. Everest version is most recent stable

ok so heres what happened

#

everest shows as being installed now
celeste doesnt launch

which is the problem that i was trying to solve by validating game files but now we're back here

did you try verifying game files and reinstalling after the reboot or what

#

reason why i asked you to reboot is because i suspect celeste is actually open in the background but stuck on something

or some other program is using the file and we don't want it to

#

a reboot usually fixes those

so what i did was

updated to most recent everest version from within game
game doesnt launch
verify game files
check celeste is in the correct location
reinstall everest
says no
reboot
shows that everest is installed (version attached)
back to step 2

tried updating to most recent version and threw a different error, log.txt attached. gonna restart again
