turning on or off vsync doesn't change anything. anyone else experience this?

Celeste runs at a fixed 60 fps anyway, I don’t think vsync would do anything

Turn on vsync disable exclusive fullscreen in the mod options

#

Also make sure you are using the D3D11 driver (so disable Vulkan if you have enabled that in the past)

I get this too but only with vsync off, it's pretty bad so I just stick to everest 4449. also I'm using directx12 driver

#

I need 4465 to play certain mods though which is getting annoying

tardy forge
#

and as I said I'm on directx12 driver

#

i swear to god i've heard somewhere dx12 is vulkan

wintry oak
#

It is not

#

It's the current iteration of DirectX APIs

#

It's a bit like claiming DirectX 9 is OpenGL

burnt phoenix

i have been lied to

#

any clue what's wrong then

wintry oak
#

No, but they answered their own question already catresort

#

"I get screen tearing" - would be surprising if you didn't with vsync off

burnt phoenix
#

i don't think i follow snip_embarrassed

wintry oak

Getting screen tearing when you turn of vsync is not surprising in the slightest, since that's literally why vsync is there catstare
