#Issues with Everest.

Is there an error log or is something else going wrong?
Nope. Not at all.
what happens when you try to open everest?
what about vanilla?
Vanilla works fine, infact my save file from SJ carries over, execpt without the mods, so it displays as having a bunch of deaths but when I try to enter it it doesn't show any completion. Opening everest just makes celeste run in the background, and then when I open celeste with it running in the background it just opens vanilla.
All the mods show as installed in the manage mods tab.
I have verified and reverified files, when I run everest it claims celeste is running when its only in the background, so on steam it says running
And when it does open within everest (which is completly randomized) it just opens vanilla
I have been trying to solve this for two days.
I think whats happening is that everytime I download everest, it uninstalls itself.
Unless im just wrong
Could you start Everest, then wait a bit and send your log.txt
If you have crashed, and are on Everest Core, there will be a log in the CrashLogs folder, which contains extra information that the regular logs do not. The Core crash handler will tell you the file name, and give you the option to open the folder.
Otherwise, in order to get Everest logs, open Olympus, and:
- Press the "Manage", under the "Installations" panel on the main menu
- Press "Browse" to open the Celeste folder
- Send the
log.txtfile from that folder (not theerror_log.txt)
Note, on both Everest versions, there are older logs in the LogHistory folder inside the Celeste folder, but these are not the relevant logs. The most recent one is directly in the Celeste folder (and in CrashLogs for Core users), and not in any other folders.
Everest logs contain paths to certain files and folders in your system (e.g.: active helpers) to help with diagnosing problems. Remember to censor any usernames in log files before uploading them.
Will do.
It seems to have fixed itself? Hopefully I wont be back haha
