#Title screen crash with Lönn open
19 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The game crashes if I sit in the title screen for too long with Lönn open. It happens if I'm doing stuff in there, it happens if I do absolutely nothing. However, it does not happen if Lönn is minimized. This crash does not happen if I advance to the main menu, the file selection screen, the overworld, or any maps. What I find extra strange about the crash is that it closes Olympus, Lönn itself, Steam, and even Discord. It does not close the file explorer or my browser. I know this is an extremely easily avoidable crash, but I want to know why it's happening, and if there's a possible fix.
Here are my log.txt and error_log.txt files as well.

??? xna crashed trying to display a windows error message?

what?
To switch to the version of Celeste using the FNA framework, go to your Steam properties for Celeste and switch to the opengl beta.
If you have Everest, you will need to reinstall it after doing this. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1049090266277105724/1049098512027095151/change_to_fna.png
weird. I'll try it. see you in like 15 minutes after i do that
Ok. Switching to FNA definitely fixed the crash. But one thing that bugs me very much is that now the game is locked in fullscreen mode. Is that supposed to happen with FNA and I just have to deal with it, or is that another bug?
you should definitely be able to switch to windowed mode in the options
Oh. It does go into windowed mode, but apparently if its at window scale 6x, (Which is what it always was, and if i changed it, the game would crash.) it covers the entire screen and wont let me access the taskbar. and that might be an issue because i have the taskbar hidden unless i hover over it, let me try setting it to always show
Okay, nope, that didn't work.
Ok what? Now it's perfectly fine. I changed nothing and it works as it did before i switched to fna.
And after putting fullscreen on and back off again, the problem is back?
Okay, so the problem just magically fixes itself after messing with settings. Weird. Well, i don't think i have any more problems, so you can mark this as resolved if you want
