For some users, Olympus freezes on a white or black screen on startup for unknown reasons. You can attempt the following fixes:
-If you have a third party antivirus, check if it's blocking/quarantining Olympus.
-Restart your PC.
-Delete and reinstall Olympus.
If none of those work, no fix for this is currently known and you have to use one of the following alternate installation methods:
-On Windows, the old graphical Everest installer is available at https://gamebanana.com/dl/430740.
-Mons (https://github.com/coloursofnoise/mons/) is a command line based cross-platform installer that is similarly powerful to Olympus. However, it requires some base familiarity with the command line.
-Alternatively, you can use the manual installation method described under "Cross-platform manual installation" at https://everestapi.github.io/.

except instead of just double clicking MiniInstaller.exe you should shift+right click into the folder, click "Open PowerShell prompt here" and typing in .\MiniInstaller.exe

verify your game files through steam
go to where your celeste is installed, you'll need to delete some files:
- files that start with...
  - Celeste.Mod.mm
  - MiniInstaller
  - Mono.Cecil
  - MonoMod
  - NETCoreifier
- the file MMHOOK_Celeste.dll
install everest stable 4351 again (do NOT install 4352; that version does not actually exist)

technical info; the leftover files from when you tried to install core everest were built with a newer version of c# (.net core 7), and the stable everest is made with the version celeste was made in (.net framework 4.5.2)
the leftover core files threw the stable installer off and crashed it when trying to install stable everest
