#[Linux Manjaro] Olympus does not accept binary

Hello, I tried to install olympus using the yay package manager, basically these two:

3 aur/olympus-git r650.e9bf1d8-2 (+0 0.00)
Everest installer / mod manager for Celeste (git)
2 aur/olympus 23.02.06.01-1 (+2 0.96)
Everest installer / mod manager for Celeste

Both install and start fine, but when I have to "Manually select Celest.exe", it doesn't matter if I select Celeste.bin.x86 or Celest.bin.x86_64, there is no error or anything suspicious, but the executable simply is not accepted, thus I cannot continue with the installation process.

Not sure what info I should share here... Thanks in advance though 🙂

you need to select the actual Celeste.exe, not the Celeste.bin.whatevers

Thanks for replying, but selecting Celeste.exe does not change anything. Same behavior

Could you just show a screenshot of the file you're selecting to confirm it's the right one

Dont worry about the "Music" folder, this is... historical 😄

Looks right

Just checked Steam -> Library -> Celeste -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse, which interestingly points to a different (non "Music") folder 😅
But even if I try to give that path with the Celeste.exe to Olympus it still the same "nothing" behavior...

Not really sure what the issue is, you may want to try mons, which is a command line installer

solar nova

that kinda worked, but after

...
$ mons mods update --all main
All mods up to
$ mons mods list main```
this is all the output i get:
  1 _dir_Cache 0.0.0
  2

Do you have mods installed?

solar nova
#

no... aaah, i thought list would list me the available mods... my bad

inland bison
#

Yeah, that lists the installed mods

#

If you want to get mods, you'll want to head to gamebanana

#

Mons should have set up a url handler, so you can probably use the one-click installer

btw, how do i start Celeste with vanilla settings (not that i would want to right now, but for later maybe 🙂 )

inland bison
#

You can use the --vanilla launch argument, or hold right on the title screen to relaunch as vanilla

Thanks for your help, the mod installed and started just fine ❤️

olympus is also not recognizing my binary

It says that if I'm on Lutris or something, I'm on my own 🥹
