save file problems playing on PC and Steam Deck

Hey everyone. I am playing Celeste on PC an Steam Deck. The Problem is, the save files sometimes gets overwritten. Normaly it is a sage file from a mod and the it gets changed to a normal Celeste save file. Does anybody know why this happens and how to prevent it? Normaly it was only wenn I had the mod only on Steam Deck and not on PC, but today it also happend to the strawberry save file.

your save data should still be on the file - you probably just accidentally switched campaign by pressing up/down on the chapter select screen

No, it is not named after the Mod anymore and when I enter the save file it opens vanilla Celeste

the name it puts on the file is based on the last campaign it was on

Yes, but when I start the save file it starts the normal Celeste Game in the first chapter.

This was an ultra skool save file befreit I deleted the mod. Today it happened to a save file I had the mod installed on both systems

I'm assuming you deleted the mod after the issue?

I'm unsure what would cause this issue, but backing up your saves is very easy - just needs you to copy and paste them to a safe location

Thanks. Seems like I have to do it in the future. The switch between steam Deck and PC is sometimes not that easy, because most of the time the cloud isn't updating
