I don't have saved changes in map creation.
I save the map changes to lonn and reboot celeste via f5 and the changes are not saved

Make sure you're changing the correct file

mossy summit
#

I press the save key in the settings and enter the game. I press f5, there are no changes

woven valve
#

What file are you saving to?

mossy summit
#

I use auto-save in lonn

woven valve
#

Try using SaveAs so you can specify the file

Have you tried fully restarting Celeste?

mossy summit

#

Where are you saving the map to, and what map are you opening in Celeste?

mossy summit
#

moreover, everything works fine for my friend. he saves the work in lonn. and in celeste presses f5 and his map is updated with what he added

His game is not updated in real time. This is extremely inconvenient when mapping.

don't put things in Content, you should be putting your bin files in the Mods folder

finite leaf
#

you don't have to zip it, but yea

mossy summit
#

in the game, what you put in the editor should be updated

warm musk
#

which you don't need a .zip file for

#

in fact i'm pretty sure it won't auto-update inside a zip file either catblob

#

(also even without proper file structure, you should still be able to reload maps by enabling debug mode and pressing F5)

mossy summit
#

good. now my level is not displayed in the game itself. Am I doing something wrong again?

warm musk
#

that seems like it should be fine thinkeline

#

i assume you've tried restarting

mossy summit
warm musk
#

you should not under any circumstances be doing that

#

... are you pressing up/down to switch levelsets?

mossy summit

#

can you upload your log.txt file?

mossy summit
woven valve
#

in your Celeste install folder

mossy summit
#

is it here?

warm musk
#

yes

mossy summit
#

I don't see here log.txt file

woven valve
#

thonkeline do you have Everest installed?

warm musk
#

it may just be called "log" if you have file extensions off

mossy summit
#

found

woven valve
#

what's the name you set for your mod in the everest.yaml file?

mossy summit
woven valve
#

I don't see that mod getting loaded thinkeline do you have it blacklisted?

woven valve
#

restart the game, then upload the log file again

mossy summit
woven valve
#

it shouldn't, unless you have multiple copies of the game installed

mossy summit
woven valve
#

still no mention of the mod that I can see thonkeline can you upload the everest.yaml file here?

mossy summit
woven valve
#

you copied the yaml from CavernHelper .-.

mossy summit
#

?

woven valve
#

you're supposed to create and add the information to it yourself

mossy summit
woven valve
#

create a file and rename it to everest.yaml

#

or just edit the one you already have

mossy summit
mystic lily
#

That's a shortcut to an everest.yaml, not an everest.yaml

mossy summit
#

do I need to create this as a shortcut?

woven valve
#

no, you need an actual file

mossy summit
mystic lily
#

You need to make the everest.yaml

#

It's a text file

mossy summit
mystic lily
#

That'll work, but you'll need to change the extension after you create it

lone jungle
#

lmao

mossy summit
mystic lily
#

What is this

#

Ok, so that's an everest.yaml in there, but you didn't put anything in it
