Make sure you're changing the correct file
I press the save key in the settings and enter the game. I press f5, there are no changes
What file are you saving to?
I use auto-save in lonn
Try using SaveAs so you can specify the file
it doesn't help
Have you tried fully restarting Celeste?
it still doesn't help
Where are you saving the map to, and what map are you opening in Celeste?
moreover, everything works fine for my friend. he saves the work in lonn. and in celeste presses f5 and his map is updated with what he added
It's her
His game is not updated in real time. This is extremely inconvenient when mapping.
don't put things in Content, you should be putting your bin files in the Mods folder
Did I do the right thing?
you don't have to zip it, but yea
ok, but initially my problem was that I didn't save the changes from the editor to the game in real time
in the game, what you put in the editor should be updated
i'm pretty sure that's just because you didn't have proper mod file structure
which you don't need a .zip file for
in fact i'm pretty sure it won't auto-update inside a zip file either
(also even without proper file structure, you should still be able to reload maps by enabling debug mode and pressing F5)
good. now my level is not displayed in the game itself. Am I doing something wrong again?
my level appears only if I move the bat file to the maps folder where the original levels of the game are stored.
you should not under any circumstances be doing that
... are you pressing up/down to switch levelsets?
yes)
can you upload your log.txt file?
where is it stored?
in your Celeste install folder
is it here?
yes
I don't see here log.txt file
do you have Everest installed?
it may just be called "log" if you have file extensions off
what's the name you set for your mod in the everest.yaml file?
In fact, I haven't come up with a proper name for this level yet. so I just named it the same as the mod itself, i.e. Ananas
I don't see that mod getting loaded
do you have it blacklisted?
restart the game, then upload the log file again
does it make a difference if I launch it via steam or olympus?
it shouldn't, unless you have multiple copies of the game installed
still no mention of the mod that I can see
can you upload the everest.yaml file here?
you copied the yaml from CavernHelper .-.
Oh, yeah. and where is this file located if it was not originally there &
?
you're supposed to create and add the information to it yourself
now the question is how do I create it
That's a shortcut to an everest.yaml, not an everest.yaml
do I need to create this as a shortcut?
no, you need an actual file
Okay, I somehow achieved my level. but there is still no everest yaml in the folder with my mod
text document?
That'll work, but you'll need to change the extension after you create it
lmao
