#muting dialog sounds

I am trying to mute the in game dialog sounds. I followed the everest wiki guide for replacing vanilla audio and just set the master volume to 0 for all of the dialog sounds using FMOD. I made a .zip file with an Audio folder inside it, which has my .bank and .guids.txt files, and placed it in my mods folder. I tried in game and unfortunately the dialog has not been muted and I'm not sure why. any help would be appreciated.

There's a mod that lets you adjust the volume for various sounds, you could see if it supports dialog too

if you mean EarAid, no it doesn't, I dm'd caeyo and he is too busy to add more features currently

i am unsure if i'm meant to do anything other than just put those files in the mod folder

like will the game just use those files instead of the vanilla ones idk

you could edit the portraits.xml to set the voice to "none"

it works now! i'm not entirely sure what i changed to make it work but i'll take it. i just renamed some things and exported the banks again and yeah idk lol
